Okay so chapter 89 finished up. I'll leave one last post here. This one will be shorter than the others as it's a short chapter anyway. As always a summary will be provided at the bottom
Okay so we start with page 2066 where Buu is assured of his victory against XXI.
The next page was a mini comic that actually got me to smile. Funnily enough I was thinking about the song "Friend Like Me" from Disney's Aladdin ten minutes before the mini comic was posted.
In the real continuation we got two pages of a training montage where again Buu shows his fourth wall awareness and the beginning of Uub's training.
We then see Buu show shock similar back to page 1981 during his match against XXI when he activated the spell Bibidi placed on Buu.
Buu is sucked away and Uub is left by himself to review what he learned until Buu comes back.
Buu comes back and because he just loves to manipulate Uub. He refuses to explain what actually happened or how outside he is currently fighting everyone for control over the tournament. But as I said in Part III. He's funny, so it's perfectly okay to do what he wants or pull powers out of the ether.
They practice for another page and then we get to see more of Buu showing his powers are whatever the hell he wants.
So his reality warping powers are so insane he can not only create a parallel plane. But, it has a time dilation similar in concept to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and he can create entire planets that are perfectly carved up like a beach ball with six different terrains.
Wow it's like Buu is so overpowered it really makes you wonder what the point of the buildup for Buu vs XXI, covering Babidi's mouth, or Gast's "STOP" technique was for. There is no reason he should have lost in the second round of Buu vs Multiverse. For someone who's supposedly a master manipulator and the best at pulling strings, it makes you wonder why he was given the idiot ball against everyone and fought 'the old fashioned way'.
Oh I know, it's because he became so overpowered there had to be a way to write him out of the story.
We then get Buu creating three opponents for Uub to test his magic against. Each different from the last.
Least here on page 2074 Uub points out that if the opponent is stronger than you, transforming wouldn't help very much. Like what happened in the original Buu vs Vegito in Universe 4, 16, and 18. But Buu remarks that it would still work, it just wouldn't make an opponent powerless and you'd need to finish them before they get used to their new transformed state.
Finally on page 2078 Buu finally shows Uub how to heal. Granted he only does it on himself, but he has the basic premise down and feasibly can use it on others to restore them back to full strength. With seemingly no drawbacks. To be honest I'm still trying to figure out if Uub can just spam heal indefinitely without getting tired.
Of course we can't end it without Buu being a troll. That's a crazy and unfunny idea. How dare you make me think that of the omnipotent Buu!
Finally on page 2080, Buu vanishes for the final time. Seemingly hinting that the ten minutes outside of when the Vargas sent the signal out to get rid of Buu finally hit their drone and zapped all of his parts away.
Why didn't the entire parallel world cease to exist without Buu there to power it? Oh I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Why I have the audacity to ask questions of the almighty Buu I'll never know. I guess I'll have to attend the former Grand Supreme Kai's six hour lecture of the greatness of Universe 4 Buu. It's all because he's that powerful.
There was also one minicomic, but I believe it was an alternate scenario after page 2063. So it doesn't even count.
Which honestly would have been better than what we got as Buu realizes he seriously screwed up (for once) and is desperate to get back. I'd rather this have happened the more laid back page of Buu talking to himself and then realizing he left Uub on his own.
So now Buu is gone (for now). Outside of helping Uub with his training. This didn't really change my opinion of Buu. To be honest I thought they were going to show that Buu showed Uub a way to give his power to help him get out of the ball he gets trapped in from Bibidi's spell. But, that would show that Buu has no Achilles Heel and we can't have that.
Summary for Part IV: While the flashback special was nice to see Uub train to better use his magical abilities. Nothing changed for Buu's character. He didn't have Uub as a backup to help him get out of XXI's use of Bibidi's spell to trap him and this only showed that Buu was holding the idiot ball his entire fight against the Multiverse in chapter 86 as his abilities in this chapter are just blown even further out of the water. We've yet to see if he will return, but I doubt he will in the future outside of minicomics.
