Seems like no one else is instroducing themselves, so heck, why not?
My name is Andres, as you may have noticed by now. I'm from Argentina and I'm 31 years old, turning 32 next month. I've been a DB fan since the original Dragon Ball aired in Argentina, I believe, around 1994, when I was 10 years old. Used to hate Krillin, love Tenshinhan and the Mafuba was the greatest thing ever.
Since DBZ started, I always had a thing for Saiyans, as we all had. Really liked Raditz, and been a big-big-big-time fan of Vegeta. He still is my favourite character. Never really liked Goku, to be honest. Kid Gohan was annoying as shit, Teen Gohan was amazing and Mystic Gohan was so badass.
Super Saiyan 2 has always been my favourite SSj transformation.
On a personal level, I'm an audio engineer and composer myself, having worked extensively scoring films and producing other musicians. I'm a recording artist for an American progressive rock label, Melodic Revolution Records. I play mainly piano, keyboards and vocals, although I record some bass and percussions from time to time. I tend to combine heavy orchestral work with the edginess of progressive rock forms, structure and texture.
I may post some of my stuff here some other time

I've done five years of percussion myself I'd be very interested to hear some of your stuff sometime. I need to look up Melodic Revolution. Me too, Super Saiyan 2 has always been the coolest. SS1 is super common, and SS3 looks weird (at least to me), has so many disadvantages, and ended up being pointless. SS2 is where it's at. I used to be a MAJOR Teen Gohan fanboy. Still am. As I've gotten older, though...when it comes to personality, I think I like Namek saga Gohan best. He'd mostly gotten over his Saiyan saga fears, but he hadn't yet become the pacifist/scholar/Great Saiyaman he later developed into. He was just a really nice, brave kid who wasn't afraid to take on opponents who were way stronger than he was (which was almost everyone), get the crap beat out of him, and keep fighting anyway. The only problem was his hideous bowl cut. (Why did Toriyama think that was a good idea?)

I just went on your youtube channel (Andres Guazzelli) and liked your vocal video for Corvus Stone's 'Purple Stone'. Source for anybody who is interested in seeing it, it really good: Do you have any albums or EP's released yet, and if so, can I buy them on Amazon? And do you have a vidoes playing just the piano, since I am a sucker for that instrumental play lol?

My first EP with MRR is out since 2013, and yeah, it is on Amazon. You can find it here: www.amazon.com/Wish-Could-feat-Corvus-Stone/dp/B00GHA9W2E/ref=sr_1_2?s=dmusic&ie=UTF8&qid=1383772649&sr=1-2&keywords=Andres+Guazzelli.
I don't think I have a video of myself just playing, but you'll find plenty of piano in there! Maybe I'll just oblige and record something just for shits n' gigglez.
I'm working on a new album at the moment, called "Wötan: The Untold Story". The first single, "Overture", is out. Since the album isn't finished, I just lazily edited something together and put it on YouTube. It's better than nothing. This one is a biggie, though. We have an ensamble cast of +70 musicians from all over the world working on this one.

Well why not, we've all talked on and off on the forums and now on here so a little introduction sounds like just the Ticket-
My username is VoidSlayer, from one of my favourite games of my Childhood- Baldur's Gate 2
My actual name is Ben, im 32 from the Central Coast of New South Wales in Australia. I accidentally picked up on Dragon Ball Z during the Namek saga and was hooked within 3 episodes. Although to this day i still haven't watched the entirety of Dragon Ball. I don't read the Manga, yet i love books more then anything since i read the Hobbit at age 9, and LOTR at the age of 11.
I always loved Teen Gohan, yet for me Mystic was bullshit and went too far and ruined it a bit for me. I've also always had a bit of a soft spot for Hercule during the Buu saga. If i had to list my top 3 DBZ moments they'd go as follows:
3. Goku goes Super Saiyan against Frieza. 2. Gohan finally unleashes his potential against Cell. 1. Vegeta uses the Final Flash against Cell.
Now that DB Super has started i'm so glad to have a canon extension to the Dragon Ball universe, although i can't state enough how much i need to hear the english voice actors again, because they just sound like a bunch of hyperactive hormonal cheerleaders.
I'm a primary teacher by trade, although i also teach high school and special needs classes as needed, which gives me an enormous level of experience and great teacher memories that i hope to continue building on for the rest of my career. I also tutor and work at a Vacation Care centre in the hoidays.
If any of you guys want to know more, or strike up a convo sometime, feel free to ask.

That pretty cool what you do for a career. Being a teacher in Australia is a hell of a lot cooler than working in the meat department of a supermarket lol. How hard / easy is it teaching special needs kids in a classroom setting? I imagine it to be a "very" unique experience...

I'd be very interested to hear some of your stuff sometime. I need to look up Melodic Revolution. Both, actually. I am a natural deep baritone, but I've been blessed (I guess) with really long vocal cords (in virtue of being 6'4'', methinks) and really flexible vocal folds, so I do extend in the upper range more than a natural baritone. I pretty much sing what is needed, either in the bass range or tenor. These two are 6 and 3 years old respectively, but they do show a bit of extremes.
Regarding percs, I tend to do mostly orchestral work (timpani, taikos and bassdrums). I ocassionally play smaller kits with djembe, bongos and derbake, but that's rare.
I'm a pianist, mainly.

Thanks mate! The Bohemian one was much fun to arrange and record.
W.Y.C.H. is like my firstborn son, in a way. First EP I officially released. It has several things I still love to this very day, and some other things I hate deeply, but hey, that's life. It's like having firstborn sons, isn't it? Haha
Sometimes when you get bored, your mind wanders. Mine wanders in 80s and 90s shows theme songs. Odd, I know. Thundercats, Silverhawks, Transformers, Swat Kats, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Defenders of the Earth, and of course, Gummi Bears. And when the moment comes, all you can do is crank up the volume and start singing along!

Like like LIKE! Quoting because I can't like twice. My family loved Gummi Bears growing up, but even people who aren't fans have to admit it has one awesome opening theme. Most 80s/early 90s cartoons did. And you think your mind wandering in 80s theme songs is a bad thing? (side note: has there ever been a cartoon opening as epic as Thundercats?) Seriously bro, what the heck is a guy like you doing on this forum? The internet is for people who don't have a life

I thought I had already commented this thread! Seems like my attention span is getting shorter. It's great to have another musician here. I had never mentioned this but I play guitars and bass (and can improvise other string instruments) and attempt miserably to program drum machines at fruity loops or ableton live.
I can't really sing for shit though. You are one of the best posters here, it's always great to see you have another talent. Have you covered any Black Sabbath song?

You should try getting an MPC. I'd recommend a bit of basic software experience for it though. It is basically a fingerdrumming pad with controllable sensibility, compression, reverb that allows multiple tracks (putting rhythms over another to complement themselves). You can assign a different percussion sound to each pad (it contains a large library that can be thoroughly altered through effects) and it also has the function of supporting samples uploaded through USB. You can also add the same effects and manipulate its length with the knobs. Overall a very practical tool:

Thanks Q! Wötan is one heck of a project, being both a novel + a rock opera. There are more than 60 people guesting on it. Takes me a while to arrange, record, mix, direct and guide the musicians, plus the sheer logistics of it. But it's so much fun!
If you have 12 minutes to spare, you can check my previous EP, "Wish You Could Hear". It is long, yeah, but I guarantee it is a ride. You may not like it, but it IS a ride

You can check the Overture here: Wait really? ;o Holy shit, it sounds amazing lol! Didn't think anyone here was so musically gifted. I wanted to compliment it initially but I wasn't sure if you just grabbed a great piece of music to give the video sound. I'm pleasantly surprised
Let us (or at least myself ) know when the full thing releases, checked out the page, seems like it might be a year but still, if you remember to I'm definitely curious to know any details as they come out. I can 100% get behind this album. Thanks mate! Really appreciate it. I'll let you know as soon as it is released. In case you wanna keep track, you can follow me on Facebook, if you will. www.facebook.com/AndresGuazzelli

I don't do things small, actually. I've worked in the film industry for 15 years, either doing film scores or audio post-prod. I think that has a lot to do with it. I was never able to do a regular album, song-song-song-song-wrap. I find it boring.
My music tends to be very... atmospheric, in the sense of having moods and telling a story. That's why I think I do rock operas, because it's a format closer to a movie within an album. In fact, Wötan: The Untold Story is really a movie within an album: it has several characters, dialogue, sound FX, foley, a film score. It is basically a movie, without the images.
