There hasn't been a point of reference to judge his power compared to others in a while. How much more powerful would you guess he is by this point?

I recall somewhere in the novelization Piccolo stated that he's still weaker than Perfect Cell so he hasn't improved much. I would say FPSSJ tier at best.

Now as for the question it's hard to say as he really only had one fight, and the only thing that fight told us is that Piccolo is weaker than Frost by a noticeable margin (at least in the anime, in the manga if I remember correctly he was noticeably closer to Frost in pure power due to nearly every one in U6 being weaker than they are in the anime) though it is stated that he is stronger, so right now I'm gonna take a guess at around a Super Saiyan 2 though it wouldn't surprise me if he's stronger than that.

@pokesamus217 Oh my bad! In DBS, he was weaker than Gohan in RoF but I don't know how strong Gohan was exactly. Gohan seemed to have lost his ultimate form and wasn't sure if he could turn SSJ so he might've been weaker than he was against Dabura. Next episode, Gohan and Piccolo are training together so that might give us a better idea. I think Piccolo is FPSSJ tier or between FPSSJ-SSJ2 depending how he does against Gohan.

In the preview for the next chapter he's seen going toe to toe with Bang Gohan (Mystic) with his after image technique.
Still, this is not an appropriate point of reference, since we do not know if this Mystic Gohan Reborn is even stronger than Buu saga one (most likely yes).

I doubt he's weaker than Frost personally, because that would mean he's below SSJ level. That makes no sense because he trains constantly and the last time he had a real fight (against 17 in Cell Saga) he was on par with him. Considering he got "much stronger" after training in the Time Chamber during Cell Games he probably came close to Semi-Perfect Cell's power by then. He's had roughly twelve years since then to train, but we know that he was still weaker than SSJ2 by then. So my best guess is he's hit SSJ2 level by this point in Super.
Funny thing is, if the limits on the Time Chamber have been removed (which I believe they have been), Piccolo (aside from Roshi who's probably hit his peak) could spend all of his time, even years of outside world time (say 100 years which would equate to a little over three months) and train himself to his absolute limit. He doesn't age so he could have spent all of his time between Cell Saga and Buu Saga in the chamber (almost 4000 years) training if he really wanted to reach his peak. If Vegeta was ageless he'd probably live there and come out to visit his wife and kid every few years.

Piccolo isn't ageless. Remember there were many Namekian old coots. Even his good part Kami was an old man.

Rough estimate (also a guess, so don't be mad ): FPSSJ to Cell Jr tier Not bad for someone that ISN'T a Saiyan if I must say.

It hard to say since he was unable to defeat Togoma (or captain Ginyu) and Shisami, who shouldn't be all that powerful. Plus his defeats by Beerus and Frieza did not help us get a proper gauge on his power level. As for Frost, he was still inferior to him though it was heavily implied that his special beam cannon could have finished him. However after the universe six tournament Piccolo was equivalent to Gohan's base form, with him now being able to match him as a super saiyan by the tournament of power.
Because of this Piccolo should be able to now match the likes of Togoma and Lavender and win in the end.
While still hard to gauge, I will place him as a ssj2 tier fighter at the very least, though he is probably much stronger than this.

Piccolo isn't ageless. Remember there were many Namekian old coots. Even his good part Kami was an old man. Actually he is. He inherited it from his father/past incarnation. DBZ wiki says it's been proven in multiple games.

Ah fuck. Voted before I realised it was about super and not DBM... Voted SSJ2 btw. Yea I don't think Piccolo could even take Android 16 tbh, HA neither could Gohan atm. Fuck DBS.

DBZ wiki says it's been proven in multiple games. If this were the case Kami would have become young as well, given they were the same split entity, but they didn't. Also, Current Piccolo isn't only King Daimaoh reincarnation/son. He also reincorporated Kami which was quite old, and Nail who was young, but had no antecedents of weird DB wishes. I don't accept videogame stuff as serious proof. Nor DBZ wiki. My memory on the old DB is sketchy but I recall King Piccolo only wishing to regain his youth, not to be immortal or ageless.

I think he should be at least SS2 tier. Piccolo always trained himself even when they were in peace times. Seven years between Cell and Buu then five years between Kid Buu's defeat and the current arc. That is 12 years total. I can see him being SS2 level by then.

five years between Kid Buu's defeat and the current arc. There are no 5 years, if I remember correctly. BoG was only a few months after Kid Buu. And since then only a short amount of time went by. Piccolo has a unique training method that nobody else uses: He meditates. I don't really understand how that makes him stronger but it seems to work for him. But I am still not sure if Piccolo really improved after the Cell Games. I remember him beeing on par with Super Vegeta and Trunks because those 3 were the only ones capable of fighting the Cell Jrs. So he must have been way more powerful than Semi-Perfect Cell. But in the Tournament he instantly surrendered against the Kaioshin who seems to be a lot weaker than that. So either Piccolo is plain stupid (which he usually isn't) or he did it out of respect (most likely) or his strength drastically decreased (also likely). Just compare pictures of him from Cell Saga and Buu Saga. He does look a lot weaker in the latter (if muscle mass is an indicator of power by any means).

That's why Kami appears older than King Piccolo (even before his rebirth I mean) in the original Dragon Ball. As far as I'm aware a Namekian fusion won't change the physical traits of the dominant fusee (except for making them physically stronger), so his age was unaffected. In fact in DBZ Kai when Piccolo and Kami did fuse Kami chose to allow Piccolo to be dominant in the fusion specifically because he knew a young fusion was needed and his age would be a problem.

We know she was born four or five years after Kid Buu was defeated. Timeline wise it BoG has to be set around that time period. Unless Super plans to retcon it.

Nope he didn't (I finally could research proper references): "I wish to be made young again! Restore my youth and power! Return to me what time has stolen! Can you do this?" Also: Remember shenron can be an ass with specifics. I'd be inclined to think Piccolo Jr isn't ageless. He just ages really slowly, like most Namekians. Old Piccolo/Kami were at least a couple centuries old.

Kind of hard to tell when almost every DBZ adult appears the same age for the whole series.

Must be a retcon since Goten and Trunks didn't age a bit. Look at how Gohan was portrayed at age 11. They definitly don't look like that though they should be at least 12, if five years have past after Buu.

Based off the latest dubbed episode he was able to handle Gohans SS2 fairly well, and now that he's got his 'Mystic' powerup back Piccolo was still able to defeat him. I'd say that puts him in SS3 tier fairly comfortably.
I was really impressed with the latest episode, it explained Gohans powerup alot better then i was expecting
