But it is canon, that 3rd regression form Frieza (the one on this picture) destroyed planet Vegeta with a single shot. In almost all universes. I admit I'm too lazy atm to thoroughly investigate this properly but it's my belief that the manga only states that Freeza defeated the saiyan people in his restricted form and while he also states that he destroyed the planet too later, it isn't as specific as his quote "when I attacked the homeworld of the saiyans, and fought king vegeta, I didn't even have to transform, and I still easily won." The next page krillin blurts out "he destroyed the Saiyan planet??" Anyways whatever it seems, it doesn't directly say "I destroyed their planet in this form" no matter how much it may imply it. That being said and coupled with the fact that AT retcons his own canon as he writes page by page and for the sake of making sense of the senseless I'd say Freeza 4th form/normal state is the minimum level to actually obliterate a planet makes the most sense looking at the big picture. The manga has a panel directly referencing Bardock's death and the said destruction of Planet Vegeta. Given that this part of the manga was published after the Bardock OVA came out (which Toriyama loved) this is clearly a reference to that. Especially given Frieza's very similar pose, the fact he's in his First Form (no need to hide that he can transform since he's already in his Final Form by this point of the story), as well as the fact that he's still sitting in his chair.

Well, hell. Bardock's special is canon to dbm so I guess I can't argue that any further. Why'd he have to go and do that? Lame.

I originally posted this in the Today's Page thread. I was looking at the Universe Listing wheel and some have been updated since I last saw them so I wanted to update this list in the correct thread:
Completed universes/universes without specials: U1/U10
U2
U4 After 774: Read the special chapter
U8
U12
U14 764 to 785: See fanfic Twin Pain 785: See TV Special about Trunks 785 to now: See fanfic One Way
U15
U17 767 to now: Special Chapter
U18 785: See this fanfic chapter
U19 Until 762: living in peace 762 to now: See fanfic.
Universes left: U3 Until 737: see official DBM timeline 737: Baddack gets his visions Read that here After: Saiyans terrorize the universe. After: Raichi kills Saiyans. 780: Raichi meets Tapion. Read the special chapter
U5
U6 There's supposed to be one more showing what happens after they left.
U7 Until 762: see official DBM timeline 762: read the special chapter. 762 after: read the special chapter. After: Special Chapters (not done yet)
U9
U11 Diverged after Cooler's revenge but before first encounter with Broly.
U13 Until 738: see official DBM timeline 751: Kakarotto meets Kulilin 761: Raditz gets Kakarotto, then then train 762: Attack of Helior After: Specials Chapters (not done yet).
U16 (originally I thought it was on the other list but looks like there will be more later on) Until 774: see official DBM timeline 774: see the special chapter. 774-783: See fanfic and this special Chapter 784: Son Bra turns SSJ1 After: later...
U20 Until 788: see official DBM timeline 788 to now: Special Chapter (not done yet)
Anyway, which of these do you think will be the next special? Ouv mentioned that he was working on the U13 Namek saga special for release sometime later this year so that might be next. Overall, we've had 27 special chapters in DBM so far including three movie retellings. I would guess there's probably 10-20 special chapters left assuming the remaining universes only need a few specials each. U9 would require the most special chapters out of any universe but eventually Salagir may have to decide to tell its story as a fanfic if he can't find artists for it. After Ouv's U13 special, I hope we get to see more of U3 and U7.

We're heading back to Raichi and Gast fight. It might be the right time to put it out U3 special to explain how Raichi eradicated the Saiyans.

We're heading back to Raichi and Gast fight. It might be the right time to put it out U3 special to explain how Raichi eradicated the Saiyans. There are 3 or 4 factors before heading there: A) Gyniu team (should be able to handle most of the Saiyans separetely even with Ozaru) B) Cooler and minions C) King Cold D) Any inner turbulence/civil war/conquest of other planets

I agree, I would much prefer 4th-form Frieza be the minimum amount of power required to destroy a planet. Saiyan Saga Vegeta was technically the minimum amount of power required to destroy a planet. I do prefer the idea that First Form Freeza is the bare minimum to destroy a planet, but that isn't the case in the series.

It would be fitting to have a U3 special after this current battle. At the time of the last U16 special, Salagir said it was the only one available but that was a few months ago. I have a feeling it might be Ouv's U13 special next unless more specials have been completed since then.

It would be really cool, if there were (more) people out there to draw the specials and help to further the story. I'd do it myself, if I was skilled enough, but I don't really think I am. My drawings of charakters are quite good, I dare to say, but I never made complex pictures with unusual perspective and such things. I guess, this is the problem Salagir references, when he says that people apply for the specials that really aren't good at drawing.
Edit: Btw: is there any information whether there are guys on drawing the specials and if so which ones?

The universe 3 specials haven't been given to us in a linear order. We got Bardock special which detailed how Bardock led the Saiyans to successful rebel against Freeza. The Raichi's/Tapion special was set years after that one and detailed how Tapion was freed and gained control of the demon inside him. It is possible we could get a special about Raichi killing the Saiyans without us learning how the Saiyans overcame King Cold and Cooler, especially if it's a character driven chapter meant to help us understand Raichi more.

Raichi's special was necessary to introduce some of his actual character and personality and why the fuck was he with Tapion. It didn't really tell us much other than he killed some Saiyans and that Raichi was morally grey. It also gave insight of his abilities and mechanics. This is otherwise a pretty unknown character, so making a little introduction of him out of chronology isn't that bad.
I feel like crucial parts of the history would be preferred to be given in order. Especially considering the Bardock special directly ended with a Cooler's cliffhanger.
