So this came about because a small discussion I had with a friend of mine that lead to me doing the math on how long it would've taken to reach where we are now had DBM released at the pace of an official weekly manga series. It was just a rough estimate using the average chapter's length of around 24 pages. That would put DBM chapters at the size of roughly 1.5 chapters of a weekly released manga series. Meaning to get to 87 completed chapters it'd take around 2.75. Now for the Differences
- Obviously it'd be completed by now. That's probably the most obvious one.
- The fights would probably be longer as the release pace I'm pretty sure forces the fights to be quicker than if were released a chapter per week.
- The colored version would probably already be out.
- Things that were only touched upon in the novelization probably would be present in the comic.
- If the reason for a weekly chapter release was related to this Universe being a Universe was an official sequel or side project to DBZ, then there might even be more special chapters for each of the Universes to flesh out their differing backstories more.
Is there anything else you think would be different?

You hit the biggest things that would be different. The fights would be longer, and the story would have more room to breathe. I think the gags might hit better if a whole chapter was released weekly as opposed to just two or three pages a week. One major difference I think that would happen is we would probably see more universes get screen time. Common criticism people had in the past was U16 felt like it was getting all of the spotlight and U18 felt like it was pushed to the side.
On a weekly schedule shift of focus to another universe doesn't feel as jarring. Manga aren't strangers off giving the main protagonist or protagonists a break to focus on other people. Dragon Ball is no stranger to that. Goku would often get sidelined in favor of following other characters for extended periods of time. It doesn't feel as bad because pacing of the story never makes it feel as long as DBM's current release schedule might.

I think 1 Chapter per Bi-week might be a more reasonable pace, 1 Chapter per week would be a daunting task for hobbyists who aren't getting compensated (paid) for their hard work. Thing is Asura puts so much art quality that I almost feel like we'd get more pages if Asura sacrificed a bit of quality for quantity (number of pages) and it still would be of acceptable quality. One thing is for sure, 3 Pages and Specials in between certainly seems too slow honestly.
What do I know though, I take a while drawing myself and my drawings are crap next to even some artists that do the specials much less Asura. Still learning drawing techniques that artists like Asura have already mastered. I wonder what his thoughts are on this post.

Yeah I know. This was more just a What-If Scenario to say if it had been more like the release schedule of official weekly manga series. Like in that alternate scenario, how would things be different? You can even provide differences for how it would be if it was some alternate Universe where DBM was an official sequel to DBZ like I did with the last difference I listed.

Another thing I just thought up:
- If it were an official sequel to DBZ and that's the reason it was a weekly chapter release, it'd be formatted like a manga to be read from left to right.
