Another great chapter. Sipinoffs like these I wish the staff of Toei will read to learn on how to not only write a linear, solid plot, but also respect the side characters as well [R.I.P. for Buu in the tournament of power]. Yamcha doing every single type of training Goku did was fantastic to prepare the human for the saiyan invasion. If anyone here has read Dragon Ball After, the elements to prepare one character for a future calamity via training is almost identical. Anyways I like the fact that not only Yamcha got his potential unlocked by Guru, he also trained with Nail for several months to really boost his prowess. But using the namekian dragon balls to return back to Earth is a interesting twist because that may affect the Namek saga significantly since there may now be one less wish available. Unless the time frame works out perfectly for the balls to recharge, then expect some new developments happening after the Ginyu force being defeated. Plus both Guru and supposedly Kami knowing Yamcha's true identity is intriguing. I love the fight between Yamcha and Nappa since Yamcha easily defeated the brute like he was nothing. Especially the iconic dialogue leading up to the fight. But unfortunately only one page was shown which was him roasting the bald warrior with a kamehameha, but it was still enjoyable besides the fight practically being skipped. The Vegeta fight was also fun to read, with Yamcha pulling a Cui on Vegeta was brilliant. The ending was superb on how they defeated him, but thank god Vegeta escaped with his life than being killed to make the sub-plot between Yamcha getting with Bulma while Vegeta is being in the way for that destiny to materialize. Still wish the entire battle before the epilogue was shown though... As for the other reincarnated human, I believe it is Tien and will eventually learn the metamorese fusion technique to merge with Yamcha to create Tiencha. Or the potara to create Yamchen. That will be wicked cool! Overall the chapter was a great read, and it deserves a 9/10 for beautiful artwork, consistency, plot, and suspense for what will happen next. My only complaints is the rushed / skipped battles portions between Nappa and Vegeta, but it cannot be helped unfortunately. And Yamcha not curbstomping Vegeta by himself is a little weird since he did trained with Nail and had his potential unlocked, but I will pretend that the Great Ape battle pushed him to his limit and beyond. Also I hope that the PL of 10,00 wasn't his true max in that fight as well. Extra: Now that I think bout it, I wonder what happened to the original Yamcha in this universe? Did his soul got absorbed by the reincarnated human, or did his essence got swapped with the boy and is now living in his version of Earth? Same for the other human reincarnation who I believe is Tien? I wish that Yamcha went to Yardrat via training with Nail to learn the instant transmission technique to avoid using the dragon balls. As someone who has read the manga, he knows that technique can save his life one day. If he survives up to the final form Frieza battle with the tyrant using 100% as Namek is dying, that could be his escape card. Plus I hope that Yamcha will learn the kaioken from Goku which will give him a huge advantage in the long term. Me and @skar will wet out pants upon seeing Yamcha using the kaioken before epicly slicing off Guldo's head and making Ginyu be afraid of his incredible power. Just thinking about it will be glorious. Planet NamekGinyu Force has just arrived in front of Yamcha, Krillin, Gohan, and Vegeta with their intentions being to steal their dragon ball and kill them off. As the shorter members and Vegeta tremble, Yamcha stands firm and confident.Ginyu Force: WE ARE THE GINYU FORCE!!!! Vegeta: Goddammit. We are now screwed. Krillin: Hey guys, I think we are gonna die now. Gohan: I agree. Captain Ginyu steps forward to reveal his intentions.Captain Ginyu: If you guys want at least one of you to live, I suggest you give us that Dragon Ball along with that treacherous Vegeta too. When that is accomplished we will move forward from here. As Vegeta growls with Krillin clutching the dragon ball harder, Yamcha begins to smirk and walks in front of the group.Yamcha: Sorry pal, but none of that will be happening. I challenge you all in a battle royale with only me being your opponent. Gohan: WHAT! That is insane Mr. Yamcha. Krillin: Dude, what kind of drugs are you on? As the Ginyu Force members laugh at the absurd challenge, only Vegeta begins to feel the slight increase in Yamcha's aura as the human takes on a battle stance.Vegeta: 'Is that the...' Yamcha: KAIO-KEN! At that instant, Yamcha was shielded in a powerful red aura as all of his stats increased by a few folds. Immediately all of the scouters on the ginyu force went wild, thus shocking them as Yamcha made the first move. In a single motion, Yamcha used a inspired move from manga Vegeta to chop off the head of Guldo before using a augmented elbow strike to incapacitate Recomme. As the time manipulator's head rolled on the ground as the orange haired brute farted before passing out, Yamcha used his enhanced speed to utilize a kiai to push Ginyu into a mountain before turning around and punting Burter in the air. Petrified by being unable to see anything, Jeice was powerless as a red magma-esque aura flew to Burter before elbowing him back into the ground before appearing underneath and impale him by a rising uppercut in the gut. With three members defeated and one out of reach, Yamcha made a dash straight for Jeice before slicing his ribs with a chop and throwing him onto the floor; defeated and broken. With a heave Yamcha disables the kaioken as the heroes awe his speed and power.Vegeta: Impossible! Absolute madness! He cannot be this strong. Krillin: Gohan, did you see anything. Gohan: Nope... Eventually Ginyu emerged from his makeshift crater, and nearly had a heart attack on what he experienced and seen.Captain Ginyu: How are you this strong and how did you defeated my men. What are you? Yamcha smirks before pacing near Guldo's head and clears his throat for a epic retort.Yamcha: I am your worse nightmare in corporeal form. The reincarnation of a deity from a lost world forever out of reach. I am the one destined by the gods to claim supremacy over creation and recreate the universe in my holy image. I am Yamcha, the super human. Scared beyond straight that he might be looking at a true deity that was taking the image of a pathetic human, Ginyu decided to steal his body. He begins to prepare his body change special.Captain Ginyu: I applaud you mr. super human, but your power will know belong to me. Change now! As a unholy flash cascaded over the environment, Yamcha immediately reactivated his kaioken before using his augmented reflexes to pick up the severed head of Guldo and flinging it into the light. A unique transformation happened. With Ginyu now as the decapitated head of Guldo, he slams into the face of his former body as Guldo howls in pain from having his new nose crushed. After rolling on the bank of land a few times, Ginyu curses one final time before dying from a lack of blood flow. With the captain now dead, Yamcha casually walks over to the stunned time manipulator before caving his head in into mush, DBM Nail style from U8 that Yamcha has read once in his original world. With all of the members now either dead or incapacitated, Yamcha gathers their dragon balls before releasing the kaioken.Yamcha: Hehe, this reminds me of that time when Yamcha defeated Recoome in anime filler, but on a grander scale and far more badass. Shit I am the shit. Krillin: Yep, he is doing drugs! Gohan: Performance or the stuff that gets you high? Vegeta: All of them. Yamcha: I heard that!

So things that could change how the plot moves forward:
1. A wish was used from Porunga to get Yamcha back to Earth. This could affect how the Namek arc plays out depending on how fast the recharge time is for their DBs.
2. Gohan's clothes aren't all shredded to nothingness. He could potentially still have his tail. Assuming he goes through all the stuff he does on Namek with Guru, Oozaru Gohan would be powerful enough that he could take on any of the antagonists in a head-on fight short of Frieza himself.
3. Then there's the reveal that someone else in the Z Fighters (not Goku though) is in the same boat as him? Could it be Gohan perhaps, but the poor guy hasn't been able to do much planning since he had to go through the pains of being an infant?
4. Yamcha took Kami's ship to Namek. It's still on Namek. Sure hope the Briefs can get a ship going in time.
5. No one died except Nappa. Perhaps Tien and the others could serve some use on Namek. Distractions if nothing else.

Hmmm. I suppose the Kaioken is really the only option Yamcha has at this point unless they reach DEEP into the Buu saga and somehow break the Z Sword and have the Elder Kai do that dance of his to create Ultimate Yamcha.
Though he'd have to both learn AND master the higher multipliers of the technique pretty quickly to stay relevant. Even a 5x multiplier would comfortably put him above most of the Ginyu Force as long as it was active. The ROSAT could come into play here, though it'd be interesting to see how much that could impact Goku if he spends longer training in 10x gravity than he does in 100x gravity and the difference in power that would yield. Yamcha also doesn't have access to zenkais, which formed the bulk of Goku's major power boost on his way to Namek--though the gravity certainly helped.
EDIT: OH SNAP! Vegeta never saw the SPIRIT BOMB! The fight with Buu just got that much harder if Yamcha isn't there to suggest it now that Vegeta doesn't know about it. So many potential Butterfly Effects now...

I should explain why I dislike this chapter:
Besides the Bingo Joke which made me lightly chuckle the entire chapter just left me feeling really bored, and I could never shake off the feeling of how fan-ficy this whole chapter was. Going and doing all of the training Goku did and even going to Namek just didn't feel right. Even mentioning Beerus to distract Vegeta felt wrong in this part of the story.
There's also the fact that Yamcha just doesn't contribute in any meaningful way beyond surface level. The Saibaman die, Nappa dies, Goku gets beaten to a fucking pulp like usual, and Vegeta escapes somehow. The only real difference is he removes all of the parts of the Saiyan Arc that make it good; by having Piccolo, Tien, and Chazou surviving. Thus, removing all of the emotional moments, and depth the arc once had.
I'm not sure if the editors improved or worsened this story, as we don't have enough details to make any judgements. So I'm going to say that it's best if he gets free reign for the finial part.

GriffithI don't think it's intended to be a well written story to be honest. I think it's more like a satirical look at stories written by fanboys who want to make their favorite minor character more relevant. It's not just an AU where Yamcha happened to train harder but a real life fan who's using all his knowledge of the fictional DB universe to try and give Yamcha a better future.

To be honest, there are certain parts of the franchise that I consider a parody of shitty fanfiction because that's the only time I've seen a similar premise. The difference is that those may have been actual attempts at a legitimate story. On the other hand, this is intentionally made to be ridiculous and satirical. Could you explain what you expecting from a story about a real life kid being reincarnated as Yamcha? He's a fan using every power-up he could think of from Dragonball to make sure Yamcha doesn't get killed by a Saibaman and basically prevent his death pose from becoming a meme.

I doubt the author has thought up any of these ideas, though. They could make good DBM alternate universes, perhaps.

This is just about a kid who magically somehow wakes up in Yamcha's body and decides to help him out. What you're asking for would require a longer story. I agree and I would love for it to be a weekly manga but I believe it was made clear from the beginning that it was going to be a short spin-off. I assumed it was going to have a quick pace. Unfortunately I don't think Yamcha is a very popular character in Japan so I'm happy they gave him some starring role at least. After being killed by a Saibaman, he really didn't contribute much during the rest of DBZ. In DBS, all he's done was be able to slap Beerus on the back without being destroyed and that one baseball episode.

How can it be a satire when it is an AU fanfiction that diverges from canon, and the change leads to a minor character having a bigger role. It's literally beat by beat the same thing. There's no satirical elements to it, it's just the same thing, but with Yamcha. There's just no way with what's happening that it even is a satire. And no, what I'm asking doesn't ask for a longer story, having clearly defined personality's, good gags, and emotional moments are all things that can be told in a short story. And the problem here is this is not Yamcha, this is some boring nobody inhibiting him, making sure that he doesn't die, and stays relevant. Which leads to the next problem the main character himself doesn't have a personality. And even here he doesn't contribute much to the overall plot. Everything he's change has been shallow, or sometimes actually worse than what it was done in the main timeline.

GriffithI don't think you understand the point of this story. The main character doesn't have much a personality because he's supposed to be one of us as in a regular average everyday fan and not intended to be an interesting shonen protagonist. It's a gag comic about a fan basically writing a fanfic to improve Yamcha's life except instead of just writing it he's playing the role of Yamcha. It's literally supposed to be the same thing as canon except that Yamcha gets stronger and has a better chance against the Saibamen and Saiyans. For example, U9 is meant to be a serious AU where the humans had to rely on themselves because Goku never made it to Earth. I'm sure it has more defined personalities and emotional moments and it's supposed to be well written but that's not the goal of this gag comic.

So, you're stating that the average everyday fan doesn't have much of a personality? Just, no. Most average Shonen protagonists arent interesting, their all pretty generic and boring most of the time. What makes some Shonen characters interesting is what they interact and seeing how they react, and all that. Are you implying that a gag comic has to have characters who don't have defined personalities. That's another thing all gag comics have to do, it's entertaining when the person with a clearly defined personality gets caught up in some stupid shit. And I wouldn't even call this a gag comic, there's nothing gaggy about it. It's trying it's best to tell a serious narrative with some gaggy moments. Also, well written means having good characters, good gags, and a good story. Which, the Yamcha story has failed on all accounts.
