As Ghengis Khan mentioned in another thread, Buu once killed all Kaioshins but the youngest one. How is that link supposed to work? Is Beerus ment to die if all Kaioshins are dead or one specific? Or did they all forget that there once were more than one Kaioshin? Each other universes also seem to have only one Kaioshin. Can someone recognize a pattern in here or is it just plain bad writing?

I had misunderstood that because I thought that Kai was a Kioshin with the others (Like king Kai) And because he remained alive he was promoted to the supreme Kai

It seems like some Supreme Kais have different responsibilities, and the one specifically in charge of creating and governing life in their respective universe is the one who is life linked to a God of Destruction. For instance, Elder Kai isn't life linked to Beerus because he's sort of a retired Supreme Kai.
