Favorite movies: 1. World's Strongest. My favorite period of DBZ is back around this time, before Super Saiyans started running the show. Goku vs. Bio Warriors is fast, quick, and powerful, and just about everybody in the movie gets to do something at some point--even Master Roshi. Wheelo doesn't transform, making him a very unique villain. Ocean Dub is my favorite version 2. Fusion Reborn. Beautifully animated, and Janemba's wide number of weird abilities makes for some pretty cool fights. 3. Super Android 13. Might have a weird plot, but Vegeta, Trunks, and Piccolo all have something to do here, which is more than you can say for Bojack Unbound (Teen Gohan notwithstanding) and Broly. Least favorites: 4. Tree of Might: A 5-on-5 team battle scenario would've been awesome...but only Goku gets to do anything. Just about everything in this movie is pointless, from the Z-Fighters, to Gohan going Oozaru, to even Goku fighting Turles. The sad thing is that the central concept of Tree of Might--bad guys going around, draining planets' energy to make a living Spirit Bomb that they can absorb to make themselves stronger--is actually pretty cool, and deserves to be better explored. Thankfully, the Malaysian English dub of Tree of Might is one of the best things ever given to man. Look it up sometime if you need a laugh. 5. Return of Cooler: Same deal as Tree of Might; cool concept, poor execution. The Big Gete Star is a pretty unique villain concept, but the movie gets messed up by pretty wacky logic. (If it can mass-produce Metal Coolers that are stronger than Super Saiyans, how can two Super Saiyans overload it with energy? Gaah!) 6. Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan. If you go into this film knowing that the last 40 minutes are just Broly beating the crud out of the Z-Fighters without any difficulty, it becomes much less exciting to watch. In my opinion, having Paragus be the true villain and making Broly his attack dog would've made for a better story.

Is it bad that all my DBZ movies are abridged *Blush* I admit it, not a movie fan but TFS always makes me laugh. Best is the Android 13 movie... I hear the original is boring but this is funny.
Worst was dead zone. (Actually saw this) Even the abridged couldn't make this good. Into the bin it went.

Out of the entire franchise? I actually have to say Resurrection "F". It was awesome to see Krillin, Tien, and even Roshi up and fighting again, as well as to see Frieza return as a legitimate threat rather than a joke (like he had in Z, GT, and Fusion Reborn). That, plus I really do love the twist, as it were, of Goku completely misunderstanding Frieza and nearly dying as a result: Goku thought that Frieza wanted to beat him, but in fact Frieza wanted Goku dead. It's such a subtle little distinction but it nearly cost Goku his life, and was a harsh lesson to learn but frankly one that Goku's needed to learn for years now.

My personal ranking: 1.Movie 7: Super Android 13! - It is my favourite because of my favourite character's main role, also I like the fact they fight in Arctic area. 2.Movie 8: Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan - Unlike most fans,I love Broly (don't worry I'm not a Brolytard);also, New Planet Vegeta looks nice to me. 3.Movie 12: Fusion Reborn - Janemba was an epic villain and seeing Gogeta was the reason we all loved the movie (I think so). 4.Movie 10: Broly:Second Coming - It wasn't as good as the first movie, but it was still good. 5.Movie 6: The Return of Cooler - I like Meta Cooler more that the regular, also the movie was greatly executed in my opinion (except for the ending fight). 6.Movie 5: Cooler's Revenge - I love Cooler's design and the idea of slightly expanding the Cold family. 7.Movie 13: Wrath of the Dragon - The entire story was awesome, but the Z-fighters's and Hirudegarn's powers didn't make sense. 8.Movie 4: Lord Slug - Good story, good execution, silly transformation and death of Slug. 9.Movie 9: Bojack Unbound - Mediocre story, same execution, but Gohan was a badass (also that scene when Future Trunks gutpunched Gokua was amazing). 10.Movie 1: Dead Zone - Bad story, but nice scenery and villain (I love Garlic Jr.) 11.Movie 2: The World's Strongest - Good story but that's about it (for me) 12.Movie 3: The Tree of Might - Bad story and characters (the concept of the Tree of Might made sense, but I didn't like it) and of course: 13.Movie 11: Bio-Broly (I think we all agree that movie should have never happened - mutated slime/clone of Broly goes rampaging and dies in water) Out of the list- 1.Battle of Gods - Great movie, bad story (for me), great execution and animation (the CGI was great in my opinion), and overall nice movie and fight. 2.Resurrection 'F' - Horrible story, same execution, SSJB(#SSJRainbow), overall in my opinion the worst movie of them all (maybe excluding Bio-Broly because nothing beats that)

Probably Battle of Gods. It's the only one I can remember having fun with thoughout the majority, instead of bits of pieces here and there.

Top 3:
1) Gotenks' dad rainbows Satan to death The animation is gorgeous and Gogeta's birth is one of the coolest moments in the whole franchise
2) Robo Brain just wants a hug I love the choreography in this movie and good ol' Wheelo is one of the only genuinely interesting movie villains, even if it's just because he doesn't 'roid out to get stronger
3) Battle of- hey, it's the funny guy from the DBM comment section Beerus keeps the title of the only post Z or Movie villain that's actually fun to watch and it's the only Z Movie that felt like a MOVIE and not an extended episode (plus I'm one of the small minority that actually liked SSG's design)
Worst 3:
1) Broly, The Legendary flame war starter
2) Broly 2: so I heard you like powerlevels
3) Broly Wars, Attack of the Clones: spend the rest of the budget on crack

Top three:
1) World's Strongest, it feels the most Dragon Ball-like DBZ movie that captures the best aspects of DB and DBZ, specially because everyone gets a moment to shine in that movie.
2) Bardock: Father of Goku, good lord, I love the perspective change it gave us, it wasn't written by Toriyama and it shows, and this is surprisingly not a bad thing, it was the precise change we needed from the usual DBZ series to tell a story about who the Saiyans trully were.
3) Battle of Gods, it was a nice return to the series, the animation is amazing when it is not trying too hard and using CGI, and it was the introduction of Beerus and Whis, who managed to break through and become two of the most memorable characters in a 30-year old franchise.
Worst three(least bad to worst):
3) Broly: Legendary Super Saiyan, not only it introduced the worst character in the franchise, it lead to the worst kind of DBZ fan, Broly fanboys are insuferable.
2) Fukkatsu no F, I hate Freeza, I find Freeza to be the most boring villain in the franchise to me short of only Broly, bringing him back added nothing, and despite not having the usual shackles the old DBZ movies had, the movie itself added nothing, the only new thing introduced was Bluper Saiyan, and even then it is arguable since it wasn't something they achived in the movie, they achieved it off-screen, and just happened to show it off during the movie, and this is specially bad because Battle of Gods brought in so much world building to the series, a whole new tier of gods that feel like true gods, the concept of different universes, all that, FnF added nothing but pallet swaps.
1) Someone Slipped a Fanfic in the Script Pile: The Movie... I mean, Episode of Bardock, I hate this movie specifically because I love the original Bardock special, it did nothing but mess with Bardock's characterization with him becoming far too nice over the course of a few day, and then it jumped the shark SO hard with him becoming a Super Saiyan out of nowhere... ugh... and you know the worst part? this is not the worst work involving Bardock, that title goes to Dragon Ball Minus, you see, while I hate this special, I can see it was trying to honor the original, it was written by someone who really loved Bardock and wanted to do something cool for him, it was written by someone like me, Dragon Ball Minus dares to attempt to overwrite the original.

I personally fancy World's Strongest, featuring Dr. Wheelo. I am not in the least bit surprised lol. My favorite would have to be the fusion reborn one just because of how goofy it was. Next two would be worlds strongest and wrath of the dragon.

A lot of diversity in these lists! Favorite Movies (Top 5 not in any particular order): Dead Zone +Great animation and choreography. I loved the late DB/Saiyan saga artstyle. +The henchmen had cool designs. +The villain had an interesting backstory. World's Strongest +Same as above! Fusion Reborn +I loved Janemba's design and reality warping powers. +It was one of the few movies where Goku didn't defeat the villain on his own. +The scenes taking place on Earth were fun and the villains escaping hell idea was much better executed than in GT. -The final battle was rushed and it would've been nice if Janemba put up more of a fight against Gogeta. He was only toying with Goku and Vegeta before so we didn't get to see how he would fight if he was serious and felt threatened. Wrath of the Dragon +The only original movie with new protagonists. +Their backstories along with the villain were pretty good. Hirudegarn was obviously based on Buu but in some ways, he had a better backstory or at least more in-depth. +The scene with Vegeta protecting the people in the building. +One of the few movies that would've been great as a saga in my opinion. Imagine if this was the first saga of GT and Hirudegarn was defeated by a Golden Oozaru . -I preferred his original form and didn't think he needed a transformation. -I didn't really understand Hirudegarn's weakness. He was somehow weakened when he felt intense emotion but I mean he was a raging monster. All that anger that caused him to rampage around the city wasn't intense enough? Least Favorite (Bottom 3 not in order) -Broly Second Coming -Bio Broly (or, as some fans call it, I can't believe it's not Broly!) -Resurrection F

1.Wrath of the Dragon Save powerlevel bullshit and Goku saving the day just because, easily the best movie in regards to visuals, animation and characters. Every character appears and gets some action. Though Vegeta magically disappears when thrown into a building. Still, it was also cool to see Videl as "Great Saiyaman", and it being the only movie after Buu saga from the classic era. Only DBZ movie from classic era where most of the fighting is inside a Metropolis.
2.Bojack Unbound A rather unpopular opinion, but IMO this is the best "No Goku" movie. Everyone gets a bit of action and at the end Gohan saves the day. The scenery on this movie is rather original and diverges a bit from main DBZ: weird landscapes and victorian architecture, dark skies, etc...
3.Metal Cooler Awesome concept, awesome villain. Horrible plotholes. Cooler turning into an eldritch abomination/computer was an awesome idea. Having all those fuckups with dende being Kami, but Trunks not being there, Piccolo fused with Kami but struggling with shitty robots, non-SSJ Gohan, etc... were not.
As for the worse ones, dishonorable mentions to: Hey yo! Son Goku and Friends Return, Second Bardock special, Third broly movie.

Yeah now that you mention it Genghis Bio-Broly was shit. Goku at Super Saiyan barely beat Broly the first time with power from his friends. 2nd time required Gohan and Goten + Goku (hallucination?) To finally kill him but honestly Broly's power shouldn't be that much stronger than Semi Perfect Cell roughly. But 18 couldn't even touch him basically. But she's stronger than Gohan and Goten at that point in time. And in the end RAIN and seawater killed him...
Bojack was pretty cool just because it was so different but it had a couple major flaws. There was no build up to Bojack's gang being a threat. Mid tourny suddenly Bojack gang. Plus it introduced a lot of strange techniques like the Energy Bonds and whatever their power up is without any explanation. With Wrath of the Dragon they had the the whole backstory of Tapion and Minosha (I think that's his name) and Hirudegarn had his powers at least partially explained. Plus you knew the moment you saw Hoi Hoi he was evil but you didn't know what his aims were.

Good points about Bojack Unbound. While Bojack himself wasn't all that interesting, the scenery was really memorable. I liked it included the humans and the scene with Tien vs Trunks. It was a stretch that Tien could put up a fight but I can let it slide and assume Trunks went easy on him out of respect . I think it could've worked out as a good mini-saga if they tried to flesh out Bojack's character more and give him more of a backstory.

Movie 8. First DBZ movie I saw, and since I was super young the first two times the rewatches always had new content that blew my mind when I saw them. It didn't hurt that Broly was a total beast (who had a wider vocabulary than just Kakarot!) who fulfilled the prophecy of what a Super Saiyan was supposed to have been, according to Vegeta.

Watched Bojack Unbound today, and wasn't terribly impressed with it. Visuals were cool, and I did appreciate there being a female fighter. However, the plot just kind of felt like they just threw a bunch of bad guys at Earth and let them do whatever, and had the traditional "everyone loses but the hero" thing going. I would have liked it if Trunks wasn't the only one to get a kill on Bojack's Gang. Once Gohan went SSJ2, he soloed everyone else, leaving everyone else in the dirt.

I'll explain why I like the first three and dislike the last three. Additional condition is that I ignore plotholes. 15 RoF 14 BoG 8 Broly 5 Cooler 7 Android 13 ~everything else~ 1 Dead Zone 6 Meta Cooler 11 Bio Broly RoF New form, especially Frieza's version of the Super Saiyan. Goku finally kills Frieza. (Probably how he did it in FTrunk's timeline. In a theater.) So confirmed. Goku is willing to Kill Frieza. BoG Can confirm: The real God of the series (that is before BoG saga came along and said his life was tied to Supreme Kai's) Broly The monster is invulnerable to most attacks and his insanity was because of Kakarot (my name... You mad Bro? ) Dead Zone. Funny that I don't dislike it but it just was neutral to me. Meta Cooler. To paraphrase TFS... Frieza did it better. Both as a cyborg and terrorizing Namek. Bio Broly... Almost like Serial Ape-ist 2 (Points to those who can correctly guess where this from.) It's that bad.

My favorite five are...
1: History of Trunks: Best and darkest out of the specials/movies paving a not so pretty picture on how Future Trunks gained Super Saiyan and decided to travel back in time to stop the androids.
2: Bardock, Father of Goku: Would've gotten number one if it was way more tragic and dark but showing more Saiyans before Frieza blew up Planet Vegeta and giving us possible one of the most badass Saiyans ever is what puts it at number two.
3: Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan: Mostly due to more Saiyans and just how brutal Broly is during the fight scene, not much else really.
4: Cooler's Revenge: Mostly just giving us another Goku vs Frieza battle it's actually enjoyable and interesting to see another Frost Demon and the music in the dub.
5: Tree of Might: It was the first one I saw and I enjoyed it because the bad guy was an evil Goku with no explanation as to who or what he is all in all nostalgia~
Now for my least favorites...
5: Super Android 13: Isn't the worst but isn't my favorite for rehashing the android and cell saga.
4: Bojack Unbound: Was eh, kinda neat to see a semi new bady but just felt hollow for a dbz movie coming off the heals of the cell games.
3: Broly: Second Coming: just, why? Who the hell looked at the first one and said "you know what would be cool? The Broly movie but on earth while Goku is dead!" so many plot holes...
2: Return of Cooler: "I know lets redo the frieza saga with Cooler but backwards!" lazy~
1: Bio Broly: Do I need to explain myself with this one?
