Assuming there's no limit, I could see a feasible tactic being to create air pressure and blow him out of the arena. He either reforms so you can fight him, or loses via ring out. Or you could push Hildegarn up against the energy barrier. If Hildegarn's mist-form was scattered too thinly, would it be able to reform? Because in that case, perhaps using a kiai or something to maintain smoke-Hildegarn against the arena wall for 30 seconds could count as a pin. (I only think of this because Uub won through keeping Buu under control for 30 seconds, and Yamcha would've won when he put18 in a submission hold if he hadn't given up.)
You know, with all this conversation Ghost Hildegarn's been getting it'd be really funny if Gast vs. Raichi rolls around and Raichi doesn't even use him.Time traveler Ashanark confirmed.

Andres @skar What about if it's not 2 Piccolos but PICCOLO fused with GAST? I like the two Piccolo's idea, but remember Namek fusion can't be undone, which would leave either U18 or U16 without a Piccolo. I'd prefer them do a Metamoru fusion (since both know it) to not have complications. The different attire would also clearly distinguish him. Couldn't they do the fusion dance that they taught Goten and Trunks?

Son Bra is going to own either one or both Gohans for some time. She might come to the senses at some point but for some reason I expect Grand Kaiô Shin to be the main contributor to this fight since he hasn't done anything at all so far and I don't think 2 Gohans would be enought against her SS2. Goten or Piccolo might be able to talk some sense into her but my main guess is that U16 Gohan is going to get killed before that happens (y'all remember that this Gohan has never died before!).
Also, since the beginning I expected Zen Buu to be planning on absorbing Babidi at some point but since it didn't happen in Baddack's visions it might not happen at all. That's too bad, it could give him an edge against XXI. If Babidi is handled I am 100% sure he will teleport them all back to the stadium and pretend he just found the location and GSK is going to keep his mouth shut.
There is also the possibility that the Kaiô Shins decide to cancel the event (you cannot just get that many people killed, for safety and legal reasons...) and that's when Vegetto lose his shit. That would make sense but at the same time I'm pretty sure the next few fights will happen. I expect the Tournament to be interrupted once it's Goku's and Vegeta's turn. That would be a huge trolling act from Salagir and consistent with the last DBZ saga. But I do hope it'll happen.

I hope that tournament would still continue after whole Babidi debacle, since so many interesting fights are waiting like Vegeta vs Cell, Goku vs Uub and Buu vs XXI. I don't expect tournament to be interrupted for another day or so. Babidi already interrupted tournament for enough time. Unless XXI would interrupt still during Babidi debacle [somewhere towards the end] or like within 5 minutes after Babidi being defeated.

This is even assuming that Goku and Vegeta are both going to make it. Uub has magic abilities now and he could probably hold his own against SSJ3 Goku for a bit while (though his chances are slim) and Cell has all these cheap Zenkais and powered up immensely and we know that SSJ2 Vegeta is no match for Cell and we don't know the full extent of Vegeta's power and we don't know if it's enough. We don't even know if he wants to use a glimpse of his true power against Cell because he didn't want to use it against Zen Buu when he was threatening everyone himself, which would have been a good time to use it if Gast hadn't turned Zen Buu into a gumball, what if Vegeta pulls a Goku and forfeits against Cell?

I expect both Uub and Cell to push Goku and Vegeta hard enough and maybe make them use their secret form (though Cell is more likely) but neither of them is going to win his fight and there is a very simple reason to that: While Goku and Vegeta haven't really shown much yet (especially Goku), Uub has already shown all the extent of his powers against Buu and Cell has already showed all his techniques (against Dabra), his power (Bojack and Gohan) and his strategical/fighting skills (Hildegan) therefore they have little more to contribute, story-wise. The fact that among all participants left, Goku is the one who's showed the less power and skills makes me think he's the most likely to win the Tournament. And giving up against Cell would be extremely out-of-character for Vegeta. Except for the Majin Attack, most issues of the fights have been easy to predict. Once a fighter has used all his skills and powers he is disposed because he has nothing more to contribute. It's the case of Uub, it's case of Cell and in my point of view, even the case of Zen Buu. I also expect Gast to win against Bra cause we already know her power and techniques (and we're about to see a bit more) much more than we know Gast's.

Vegeta wouldn't show his true power against Zen Buu when he took over the arena, not that it would make a huge difference but it would be better than resisting him with just regular SSJ2.

I suppose it depends on what Vegeta wants with this tournament. Realistically speaking he could have a match against Goku at any time. Even if he just perfected it and the tournament was just the right opportunity to test it out on Goku. If his whole goal is Goku I have ask why bother with the tournament at all if he doesn't care about any of the other fights. Is U18 Vegeta really so focused on Goku that he won't use his full power on anyone else? I mean the idea of U18 Vegeta surrendering to Cell to keep his promise would show that Vegeta's goal to be the strongest being ever is gone and cares more about his personal rivalry with Goku, who he now sees a friend and a inspiration, but it feels sort of cheap. We know Vegeta could have had a match against Goku any time he wants and that saving his full power for a destined rematch in the grand stage. It could be seen as character regression, since it seems like Vegeta only joined to defeat Goku on the biggest stage possible to prove to everyone he is now the best and only cares about glory in battle still.
To me if the goal of Vegeta surrendering to Cell due to saving his full power for only Goku would be done better if Vegeta just decided not to join the tournament at all and wants to fight Kakarot when it is all done, since it would show Vegeta treats their personal rivalry with more reverence and much more intimate and has no need to try to defeat Goku in a tournament that ultimately feels meaningless to him in the end. If he does care about the tournament for all the potential great fights and he wants to test himself to show his growth in learning to enjoy fighting for the sport and not glory it gives him as he had done in the past it feels hollow for Vegeta to not give his all if it is required of him just because his opponent isn't Goku. That scene with U4 Buu is already weird enough. If anything it showed U18 Vegeta slide back into old habits and is willing to once again risk his family and friends' lives for the sake of his pride, which he later criticized his U13 counterpart for doing later on in the story.
The alternative could always be Vegeta uses his full power because he desires to fight Goku in the tournament and uses it to defeat Cell for the chance at fighting Goku, but it feels kind of weird again, since Vegeta can get a match against Goku any time he wants. I suppose even that can be spun as character development if Vegeta takes a cue from Goku and Pan and realizes not giving his all against an opponent who is worthy of it just to satisfy his ego is pointless and he will use his full power sooner to honor his rival's example and fight with everything he has against a strong opponent for the pure love of the fight.
There is just a lot of ways Vegeta not using his full power or new ability against Cell could go down. It is hard to tell what would make sense for the character and the plot at the same time.

Considering how unscathed U18 (mainly because their cohesion and teamwork) was in comparison to basically just anyone else who were already sprayed and overwhelmed with goo, I took it as a mere leftover gag rather than him seriously regressing back. Would have been a true, noteworthy moment of relapsing if this was decisive in making Buu overwhelm and kill em, but it clearly wasn't. You could argue they would have eventually be overwhelmed too, but I'm sure in that case both of them would've said to hell with it and transform to the maximum. Vegeta may also have interpreted this as direct teasing by Goku, which shouldn't have been at all unexpected. Both DBM and DBS Goku also enjoy the rivalry with Vegeta a lot too, even if Z Goku was never that expressive about this. You could say the fact they were (somehow) taking the piss at such serious situation also has a negative implication, but that would put them closer to Gotenks than to Android Saga/Namek Vegeta. Seeing the scene again, I think that if Goku went SSJ3 (he did not!) and Vegeta used his "secret mode", they would've just managed to free themselves (and the rest of the U18) and made Buu look less bad-ass (which would've taken importance away from Gast's "glory" moment). Some dudes managing to break away while having other dude take advantage of the moment and seal him would've seen as just opportunistic, as opposed to heroic while saving everyone.

I think DBM will pull a DBS in Vegeta vs. Cell. Salagir will have Vegeta somehow humiliate Cell like he did with Frieza in DBS. How he'll accomplish this is up to debate. We've seen Cell show much power, especially in Majin form, and he's certainly a formidable opponent to anyone, but losing Majin should take him down a notch, and in the Majin revolt we have been shown he's far below Mystic Gohan. Even with zenkais, a Majin-less Cell could be in the same ballpark as a boosted Vegeta, or even below. Vegeta's real difficulty in this fight will be to obliterate Cell in one fell swoop, otherwise he could risk losing it all due to a Cell zenkai in the middle of the fight. His techniques allow him to do that but will he use them? As for Goku, I have no doubt he's vastly stronger than Uub and should finish the battle quickly if both go for it. I don't know the order of the fights but if XXI fights first and wins, Goku shouldn't forfeit against Uub upon seeing the threat... That is, if he wants to fight inside the tournament, and if the tournament is still going on by then. With so many powerful fighters eliminated already (Vegetto for example), the tournament may not be the main arena for the final battle anyway.

What I really wonder is if Goku also has this new transformation... It doesn't look like he does. He might see Vegeta fight Cell and then try to copy him.

Piccolos won't fuse ever in this story, 100% sure prediction, I'll eat my ssj wig if I'm wrong on this one.
Now for more of the pie in the sky variety of predictions:
Bra will kill Cell coming soon with a "non-wide" attack. She will also kill u16 gohan before babidi is killed by... a cell jr that springs forth from phipsil will avenge his father.
No need to worry about how vegeta will defeat cell since none of the fallen will be able to be restored until after the tournament is over so vegeta gets a bye.

my prediction is that bra goes into super rage mode and ki spams like her part dad Vegeta. Cell uses it to get in front of the frog wizard babidi, and she kills her own power up. Without that extra help she reverts to ssj, and Gohan mercy kills her, just as Veggetto shows up.

I understand that many of you are predicting that one of Gohan's would die. My predicament that neither of them would die during fight against Majin Bra. Instead I have two possible candidates. Both of them are from universe 18.
Piccolo or Bra. I am heading towards Bra. Unexpected dead would be if Bra managed to kill U16 Pan. After they find the way back to arena.

I do imagine Cell being eliminated somehow, because Vegeta can't beat him, Cell is above mystic now.
Then in a possible Goku vs Vegeta Matchup, I can see the following happening:
Goku and Vegeta fight for a while until Goku gain the upper hand, then Vegeta show his secret technique/transformation/whatever and start gaining the high ground against Goku, and when Vegeta is apparently about to finish Goku, Vegeta forfeits and tell that he is satisfied with the tournament and he got what he wanted. After this in the following Goku match (probably against Gast), he uses his secret transformation/technique/whatever too and is apparently above Vegeta again and winning the match using the wishes to restore heloites world back to normal, wishes that Gast can separate and finally wishing he can visit universes that contains string people.

More likely thats when they have to fuse to face XXI or some other circumstance comes up to deny both of them a satisfactory conclusion. I wonder about Cell, he's clearly much more powerful then he was at the start of the Tournament (I pegged him at just SS3 tier, max) i wonder how powerful Vegeta has gotten. Either way though, we'll have at least 3 more main chapters before we see them in action, assuming the tournament continues

As for the advantage, we know Vegeta have something to show, and he'll show that against Goku, probably gaining the upperhand, but Goku have something to show too, but it is more likely he hides until the end and you can't predict when Goku losing or not, he is always smiling even when losing, Vegeta can think that he already won just by putting Goku in dire straits for some time.

If we get a Goku Vs Vegeta match, i can't see any way that Vegeta gains the advantage, then deliberately gives up even though he could have won. More likely thats when they have to fuse to face XXI or some other circumstance comes up to deny both of them a satisfactory conclusion. Even if Vegeta wins (Which is debatable as it's likely that they're basically equal in power/skill), i don't think he would automatically forfeit as once he'd finally beaten Goku, he'd want to challenge whomever he'd be against in the next round. Of course by then it'd be likely he whole tournament would have gone to shit for one reason or another. In terms of predictions though, i predict if we get to their fight, it'll be an absolute clinic, Vegeta will unleash his secret transformation to counter Goku's much improved SS3, and just as he's gaining an insurmountable advantage the tournament gets interrupted, and sometime afterwards the big Endgame is resolved Vegeta will brag how he had Goku's number, only for Goku to eveal he had a secret move/ability that would have reversed Vegeta's advantage, thus leaving the battle still unresolved
