Another hypothetical battle but this time it will be Future Trunks (when he came back to the past the first time) and Future Gohan against Cooler and Mecha Frieza at his full power. Would the saiyan hybrids be able to take on the Frost Demon duo. I know we don't know how strong Frieza would have been at full power when in his mecha form but we can all assume that he was a lot stronger than he was when fighting Goku on Namek.

I'll give this round to the future saiyan hybrids. Trunks would most likely still be able to defeat Mecha Frieza fairly quickly even if he goes to 100%. And Gohan should be able to hold his own against Cooler, transformed or not. It is widely believe that Gohan was just as strong, if not slighter stronger than Goku when he returned to Earth. So Cooler will not be able to put down Gohan very easily, and will give Trunks just enough time to finish off Frieza before assisting Gohan in destroying Cooler.

This isn't really a battle.
They aren't dealing with the average Saiyan warrior anymore. They have risen beyond the limits of a normal Saiyan and into the realm of legend. The legend that they fear, the legend known throughout the entire universe as the most powerful warrior to ever exist. They have become...Super Saiyans. They have now seen the peak of the Frost Demon power while they're only beginning to tap into theirs. You see, they have finally realized the legend. That's right, they aren't dealing with the average Saiyan warrior anymore. They have become ...the Legendary Super Saiyan.
But in all seriousness, yeah, the Frost Demons get REKT. Cooler's final form had difficulty with a Goku who hadn't even gotten the hang of turning SS1 yet, while Trunks immediately knew that Mecha Frieza was no match for him. They'd have to train for like...a week or something if they wanted to surpass SS1 so they can achieve Bronze Form or whatever. Or get eaten by a computer who makes an army of them.

You should have made this more interesting by having fresh Super Saiyan Trunks as an opponent. That gives the brothers more of a chance.

Yeah I should have known that Frieza and Cooler stood no chance lol. But I thought it was a interesting scenario at the time.

What if Young Jijii would make a story about Future Trunks and Future Gohan fighting Cooler and Mecha Freezer rather than fighting Black Goku. I can even see it now. (Fanfiction mode activated) In the original timeline, while "Mecha Freezer" is rebuild King Cold flies to Earth, alone with his basic crew. He wants to take revenge for what happened to his son. No Future Trunks coming back in time to save the day, the Z-fighters actually have to fight against Cold before Goku IT and saves the day instead. Then there is normal peace life. Goku dies because of the heart virus and the Z-fighters dies because of the Androids. Years later, Future Trunks travels with a spaceship to New Namek after the Androids killed Future Gohan. Bulma worked on a spaceship instead because she thought flying to New Namek was much more rational than building a time machine. King Kai is for a change not a dick and helps Future Trunks and Bulma to locate New Namek. On New Namek Future Trunks is able just to revive Future Gohan because he is the only one who died within a year. At the very moment, dam dam dam Cooler and Mecha Freezer show up. Back when Cold flew to Earth, he ordered Cooler to observe Freezer's healing process. All grumpy he does as he's ordered by his father. Long time passes but no information about his father and then Freezer awakes. Freezer full aware about the Super-Saiyans has a presentiment that his father is probably dead. Freezer then lures Cooler to accompany him to Earth. He only does that to have a meatshield just in case. On their way to Earth they locate a spaceship leaving Earth. The frostdemons decide to follow the spaceship instead because their database told them a high powerlevel was on the spaceship leaving Earth. They assume it is Goku and Freezer full with revenge is blindly following that spaceship. Future Trunks reaches New Namek much earlier than Cooler and Freezer because he got a much better spaceship. The moment Future Trunks gets his wish granted the frostdemons show up and interfere. Let's say because of plot convenience Future Gohan's dead body was on Future Trunks' spaceship. In a futuristic coffin like Krillin's and Roshi's dead bodies in the Piccolo Daimao Arc. Like in Dragonball episode 126 - Future Trunks who just had one fight as a Super-Saiyan against both Androids and lost. - Future Gohan revived with both arms or just one arm (Depends how Polunga understood the wish). He still confused about Future Trunks able to transform as a Super-Saiyan. Both equaly surprised about the arrival of Cooler and Freezer. And just Gohan recognising Freezer of course. - Mecha Freezer as stated to be stronger in this state than 100% Freezer. - Cooler able to transform into 5th form. Freezer just recognising Gohan as the little boy from Namek. Now. On New Namek, we could have a grand double fight this match deserves without the Androids to butt in. Honestly, I never liked the big power gap between Future Trunks and Mecha Freezer in DBZ. Yeah, it was a big surprise and such a big mistery at first but that effect wears off rather quickly. Yet again Akira Toriyama done goofed about powerlevels. Somebody has to tell Young Jijii to scrap the TrunksxGohan After Manga and do this here instead.
