Hopefully these scenarios will be more satisfying than my last ones lol. But these are discussions I see people talk about all the time and they are Vegeta gaining the power to face the final boss of each saga. What if Vegeta gained SSJ against Frieza on Namek? What if Vegeta gained SSJ2 against Super Perfect Cell? What if Vegeta unlocked SSJ3 against Kid Buu? All scenarios that people want to know if the prince is strong enough to win the fight or had the power output to gain the transformations.
(P.S: You can vote three times for each scenario)

Vegeta's moments to shine weren't well deserved much. In the Freeza arc he was as evil and villainous as Freeza. He and the gang made common cause against Freeza. Having him transform into a Super Saiyan on Namek just wasn't earned yet. I don't really feel like Vegeta should have had that moment to shine. Goku doing it first and beating Freeza fueled his jealousy and helped him down the road to character development that would make him the beloved heroic character many people argue is the best character in the franchise. Vegeta going SS2 against Cell is the same thing. Goku trained smarter and more efficient than Vegeta. Vegeta being weaker even after another trip was also earned and furthered his path even more. Vegeta going nuts, while not reaching SS2, against Cell only to get smacked aside and hurt Gohan's chances after he lost Trunks without ever telling him he loved him was the best way to go. That lead to Vegeta apologizing to Gohan and being a team player. Vegeta's real moment to shine in the arc was putting his ego aside and helping Gohan out by distracting Cell, accepting he wasn't going to be the big dog to kill the strongest villain in the universe at the time.
Going SS3 against Kid Buu isn't really earned. Vegeta's moment to shine was holding Kid Buu off as SS2 to buy time then coming up with the plan to save the Earth using humanity's unified effort. I think the moments to shine that should be deserved or more deserving would probably be in GT or Super eras where Vegeta had redeemed and became a standard hero at that point. Vegeta going SS3 against Beerus should be an option on here rather than Kid Buu. That moment would have been cooler and more deserved to me to see Vegeta's rage boil over until he reached SS3 for the first time and attacked Beerus.

I am a firm believer that if Vegeta fought against Frieza as a super saiyan he will win eventually (and was fully healed with no injuries). Bringer of Death does a good job showcasing the exchange. Now since I believe that Vegeta's power level is 2,400,000 after receiving his latest zenkai, he will automatically become equal to 100% Frieza's 120,000,000 since Vegeta's will be exactly the same. Now the fight in reality can go either way, but Frieza's stamina drain will be his bane, thus offering Vegeta a critical advantage. And knowing the prince, a well-placed galick gun will eventually kill the prince of the frost demons.
Cell on the other hand I truly cannot decide. But as a SSJ2, at the very least he should become comparable to Super Perfect form Cell. Now Cell will have far more techniques and skill sets than Vegeta, but if the prince can once again convince him to charge his final flash for a epic beam struggle, then he has it in the bag. If not, then Cell will likely win in my book.
As for Kid Buu, the djinn is the winner regardless what Vegeta does. If Goku couldn't do it (even though he has stated he could have won at the beginning), then I doubt Vegeta could. Simple as that.

I think the end of the Buu saga wasted an opportunity to give Vegeta SS3, and be the one to defeat Buu. I know we still don't know what caused Goku to unlock SS3 but some major personality shift/revelation would have made a great trigger, and when Goku looks like hes losing and Vegeta finally admitted that Goku was 'the best' that's when he should have Ascended like Gohan did against Cell, but on steroids.

I can see Vegeta gaining Super Saiyan during Namek Saga. He was nearly on the same level as Goku just slightly weaker and lacked the kaioken hacks ability. Vegeta would have more of a motive to go super saiyan and to defeat Frieza than Goku too. Goku defeated Frieza basically because he's space hitler and get revenge for the people of Namek, the saiyans, and all the races he ever destroyed (even though he has no personal connection to any of theses people.) Vegeta on the other hand has a dictionary full of reasons to kill Frieza. He enslaved Vegeta his entire life, he destroyed his homeplanet and stripped him of his rightful position as "future" king of Planet Vegeta and forced him to do things he never wanted to do. He was powerless under the enslavement of the space ruler, his pride shattered and his only chance of him ever beating Frieza was to get the dragons balls which was a dream that was also stripped from him.
Vegeta going super saiyan would be 100% justified and the saiyan would be able to defeat Frieza but I do believe it would be a great challenge for the prince. If Vegeta fought Goku afterwards and killed any of his friends while dueling his rival then Goku would go super saiyan and kick his ass.
Vegeta having SSJ2 against Cell is something I would love to see but sadly I don't think he was at the level of power to obtain the form. Vegeta was still weaker than both Goku and Gohan who I think were at the pinnacle of the super saiyan transformation. Vegeta did not have enough power to go super saiyan 2. Even if Vegeta did go SSJ2 then he would still be weaker than Cell after coming back who many people believe was equal to SSJ2 Gohan or even stronger. Vegeta could beat Perfect Cell before his suicide attempt but once returning he has no chance. Unless Vegeta somehow convinces Cell to tank another Final Flash but I think Cell isn't foolish enough to fall for that trick a second time.
Against Kid Buu would be a slaughter, Vegeta couldn't obtain SSJ3 anyways.
