So Vegeta whipping out instant transmission during his “fight” with Cell got me thinking. Do you think the components of a fusion retain any info on how to perform each other’s techniques after the fusion ends?
It was no shocker to most after all these years that Vegeta was able to perform it and imo it was in his character to not really ever show off that he could. Vegeta has never been one to rely on techniques and abilities created by others, preferring to come up with his own due to how he was raised and his ego most likely. The polar opposite of Goku who always seems to learn and improve upon others existing techniques/moves.
Obviously both Goku and Vegeta could more than likely learn each other’s moves if they wanted and committed to it but did them being combined together maybe make it easier to understand how to? If Vegetto is actually his own person completely though I guess it could also be possible that they didn’t retain much after the fusion split as well. But with the way Trunks talked to Goten in Z before they fought Super Buu, they seemed to be pretty familiar with what they were capable of even while defused.
Don’t think that’s ever been addressed in canon as far as I know and not sure if Salagir has ever been asked this but was curious about it. I know he has said Vegetto is his own person but he also wrote some characters to lecture Vegetto for letting his “Vegeta” half be controlled by Babadi back in the day after the whole Majin Bra incident. Though that could have just been an attempt to get Vegetto to feel sympathy for Bra at the time.
