So there is a new battle between Zen Buu and everyone else in DBM now and he has Gast trapped already. I am wondering who the community thinks will beat Zen Buu. So far Zen Buu seems to have an upperhand by a wide margin. The only ones strong enough to fight Buu now lack magic capabilities that Gast and XXI both have. Goku and Vegeta as well as the Gohans seem like fodder compared to this threat and an Evil Containment Wave won't work since Buu knows the counter.

Technically speaking XXI DID defeat Zen Buu, but the plot brushed that loss so quickly under the rug that it may as well have never happened.

XXI might as well accomplished nothing, especially since his fights have been very far from satisfying since they were quick one trick ponies.
I am referring to the current conflict and whether or not XXI will step in this time since with Gast contained it's likely that only he can beat Buu (unless Vegetto and Bra can really do a number on him or if Gast breaks free). |

Well, crud, looks like we can rule out Gast in this one.
I think somebody leaked some serious spoilers too for this but I am not sure myself and won't get into it since I ain't sure about the credibility.

The best plan I can think of is someone who can teleport should take a set of Dragon Balls and teleport far away from the arena. That way Vegetto can go SS3 and unleash a massive ki blast that destroys the whole arena, maybe a blast the size of the Earth to hit Buu all at once and kill him before he can teleport one of his copies away. It would kill everyone else as well, but as long as the person with DBs escapes the attacks range they can use the Dragon to fix everything.

Seriously though, was it too hard for the Vargas to settle it by offering them the fight they want in a safe place?

There is always the possibility Buu really does just win. I don’t really want that option, but it is just as likely. A side tournament might be a new way to implement specials between main chapters. Or Buu decides he changed his mind and we just move on with nothing changed.
