The definitive end of Vegetto

Now that we're close to the final arc of DBM and Vegetto is fated to break bad soon, I wanted to point out a detail that may come back into play when we least expect it.
In the original manga,the fused fighters were separated inside Buu after Vegetto lowered his guard, and according to the North Kaioshin and the reason Salagir gives for this in DBM-canon is that the absorbed Kaioshins considered his existence a blastphemy, and unaware of the intentions of Old Kai,they disolved the fusion out of arrogance when they got the chance.
However, this establishes the combined effort of the U1 Kaioshins would be able to dissolve U16 Vegetto as well. Combine this with Gast's techniques to inmobilize him and block his ki and you have a really easy way to remove the most dangerous powerhouse in existence.
We don't know the exact details of this last revolt, and it's more than likely that all the Kaioshin or Gast will get removed or killed to raise the stakes to the highest, and Vegetto would not lower his ki barrier until he's completely defeated. Still, in the aftermath of this fight and after all the fallen are revived, it could be decided that Vegetto has proven himself too much of a loose canon, so he gets defused into Goku and Vegeta as his U18 counterpart.
This is just a thought for the moment, but I'd love to see how the story deals with U16 Goku and Vegeta after they were fused for 20 years, how they'd reflect on their actions as Vegetto and how the rest of the cast would treat them.
On the topic of fusion, I reread the parts of the Buu arc with Old Kai to learn more about XXI and the only two events we know about what happened 5 millions ago is that:
-XXI was an incredible powerful and evil, but not as powerful as Buu, and he imprisoned Old Kai in the Z sword because he was terrified of his powers.
This is just a thought for the moment, but I'd love to see how the story deals with U16 Goku and Vegeta after they were fused for 20 years, how they'd reflect on their actions as Vegetto and how the rest of the cast would treat them.

-Old Kai only gain his magic abilities and current appereance after accidentally fusing with an old witch he meets.
-Similar to how East Kaioshin doesn't know about the Potara earrings, only Old Kai knows about the Namekian Dragon Balls. The ordered the Nameks to only use them in their planet because they mess with the natural order of life, and rejects even using them even when the universe is at stake.

Could the big change in U5 be that he didn't get fused with the old witch in this universe and wasn't able to stop XXI due to lacking all his magic? XXI seems to have his own set of Dragon Balls as well, so the last point could be related with Old Kai's disgust for them as well.
