If Babidi plays his cards right, and plans very tactfully, he could create an uproar within the tournament and disrupt it to the point where the Grand Supreme Kai will be forced to "Drop the Act" and release the obviously not-held-against-his-will Zen Buu, who has the power to stop Babidi's control. Unlike with the cameos from the community members (which was a complete waste of time, IMO), he has a Varga in his control, as said, and he can keep the others from sending Babidi back to his universe (he's no longer in the tournament anyways). Assuming he has taken control of Cell and the Frost Demons, he can easily cause major trouble for everyone involved. However, Cell, having Vegeta and Freeza's cells in him, would have an insanely high willpower and could do what Vegeta did: ignore him and just use the power boost to push his power to possibly around Vegeta's level (it's never stated who strong Vegeta in DBM is, but it's safe to assume that in the 10 years between DBZ and DBM, he's trained a LOT).
There is a hitch in his plan, however: His Buu. As shown in the panel when he's mentioning keeping the Majin mark hidden, Buu's not happy by this transgression and it ultimately does show Babidi is a very sore loser, while Buu, though he wanted to win, enjoyed his fight with his pure form's reincarnation. This could be the point where Majin Buu decides "enough" and go "You no play by rules, that bad! You get turned into candy now!" and kill Babidi and Dabura. While it frees everyone from Babidi's control, they will retain their power boosts, which can be a problem down the road.
Hopefully, this is done right and not as some one-off gag. Granted, it doesn't seem like is the latter, it's being paced enough to not become forgotten and not become an eye roller. Only time will tell what happens here, and I personally don't want to be disappointed by the payoff.

I'll wager his mystic upgrade would put him still below Gohan, but with a Majin Boost it may put him in the same league hehe. Wow he will have completely skipped SSJ and go straight to the SSJ2/3 league... without even knowing how to go SSJ... And he would still have his tail... So Mystic Majin Oozaru Raditz with Cyborg eyes... Dec 29, 2016 7:16:07 GMT -5 eldagusto said: I'm very curious on how Babbadi will probe and try to Majin Raichi. Raichi seems in denial about the darkening of his soul, so it would be very interesting if Babiddi was able to Majin him, and thus all his Ghosts become Majined versions for the Gast fight, and thus pulling out scary new tricks. So have Majin SSJ Ozaru Broly. Majin SSJ 3 Veggy, scary stuff! Raichi here is very similar to Babiddi in many ways. Babiddi is a Millions year old Archmage, greatest Sorcerer the Universe has seen in Eons, probably greater then his father. And Raichi is an Archscientist. Pulling off insane science feats. So yeah Majin Hatychik may pop up... hehe... With Majin Raichi, Majin Cell, and Majin Mystic Oozaru Raditz, and maybe Majin SSJ3 Emperor Veggy... that is potentially a pretty rough crew, and maybe some of the Audience members are worthy combatants, I doubt Beerus would be used as he is there as a joke, but maybe some interesting fighters may show up. So I am curious how Babbadi will compare to XLL.

If Babidi can sense evil in someone's heart, I'd like to hear his commentary in XII. I hope this subplot focuses in more on Babidi and his plan/thoughts than just showing us who is being taken over, or who he's attempting to take over. I don't recall any interaction or comments from Babidi about XII. It's clear that XII is a magician, but I wonder if Babidi wouldn't care much whether he was attempting to control a fighter vs controlling another magician. In fact, better than controlling the Vargas, a magician that can send folks to alternate dimensions that have a different time flow may ultimately be more effective in the long run than just using the Vargas to send someone back to their own universe, or having the Vargas destroy their own equipment to prevent them from sending Babidi, Buu and Daburah back to their universe.

Elder Kai was afraid of XXI, so I think he's either more powerful or more dangerous than Babidi.

I agree with Azoth that XXI is likely a whole other level of being. His wizard form seems both more powerful in magic and more mentally disciplined than Babidi, and his true form is strong enough to get U4 Buu's admiration, so I think Babidi would very much be biting off more than he could chew if he tried to control him. The attempt alone might fry his brain or something. I agree that Babidi is one of the few contestants with the ability to scan through the Vargas' walls. Provided XXI's room isn't shielded from Babidi's magic, Babidi could give us another glimpse at whatever the heck XXI is.

Has anyone speculated what Babidi's wish could possibly be? Or his motives for attending the tournament, besides using his "Imajination" (yes, you may throw things at me) to get more powerful beings under his sway?
IIRC, Babidi was a little disappointed in Fat Buu in the anime, but I guess U11 was satisfied enough with him since he killed the Z-squad. I'm sure he's excited (and probably a little intimidated) by the possibilities of ZenBuu.
The dude's already semi-immortal, controls a Demon Lord and Nigh-Invincible Magic Genie, owns his universe...the only thing I can possibly think of that he might want is to put his brain inside his Buu. Babidi's a wily magician but he's not exactly a powerhouse.

Babidi's a wily magician but he's not exactly a powerhouse. It's Dragonball. What else should he wish for than immortality? Has any villain ever wished something else? Oh yes. The namekians have: They wished back their youth - which is almost the same. But let's see: Vegeta, Freezer and Zamasu have all wished for immortality. So I think it is a safe guess, that Babidi does so, too.
