Do you think Babidi making his move will have any major effects on the plot, or do you think he will be brushed off rather quickly. And when do you think it will happen. Also which characters do you think he will have by the time it happens.
This Babidi seems a little more smarter and craftier than his cannon counterpart, learning from his mistakes in vegeta, and trying to maintain secrecy of his moves.
I had suspected Babidi to unleash his new forces during the lunch break of 3rd round fights, due to the kidnap videl plot going on, but also because every time a lunch break has happened you have had something major to shake up the tournament.
1st lunch break - Broly vs Vegetto (the 1st fight between two OP characters that nearly destroys everything, which also lead into Buu attempting to absorb Broly in space).
2nd lunch break - Vegetto teleported into the future, Buu goes crazy across the tournament absorbing people and controlling them.
3rd lunch break - nothing yet, but something big has always right after a lunch break. So i'm guessing since Bra vs Cold has been the 1st round of the tournament since the 3rd lunch break, this is the time is when Babidi unleashes his new minions.
So far its CONFIRMED he's got in his pocket
- Ginyu force (Jeice, Burter) + 1 Freeza henchmen - Nappa - Kakkarot - King Piccolo - 1 Vargas at the controls (most likely to prevent Babidi being sent back)
Since Babidi is gathering so many nobodies from the audience, i'm not going to bother speculating on which of the cannon fodder get picked.
Cell is the only one not confirmed if he's being controlled, but he has not been in any panel since that abduction.
I'm guessing the Cold family will get nabbed, though if Bardock's vision is anything to go by, Cold is out of commission after Bra fight. The rest of Freeza troops like Appule, Reecome (wherever he is), and Saulza are probably gonna get taken. Raditz probably will get nabbed once he's not directly talking to one of the Kai's. The Universe 19 guys could get nabbed, since they don't seem to have pure hearts. I'm guessing being mostly evil isn't quite a factor for Babidi's control. Androids may be immune to magic (which could set up something for later with XXI).
If Babidi gets Cell, he will have two roughly SSJ 3 tier fighters who hav OP regeneration and strength (Cell and Buu, with Buu). A majin Cell may be even more dangerous than Fat Buu, since he is both powerful and intelligent, even if he lacks some of Buu's more OP powers. (candy beam, regeneration of absurd degrees). Those two would give some of the higher level fighters some trouble. I doubt even Gast could just PWN a majin Cell at this level.
Any U19 fighters would be very dangerous with their beam swords and carbonite. In fact, one well placed Majin controlled U19 fighter could slice up Vegetto ninja style, eliminating Badidi's biggest threat for take over. (For plot purposes, heavily wounding vegetto this way would allow him to be healed by nameks or boo after babidi take over, while still eliminating him for the skirmish).
All the other fighters at Babidi's disposal could tie up the other fighters, with Dabura handling SSJ2 fighters like Vegeta.
The Majinization subplot has the chance to be a lot of fun, looking forward to it.

I wonder what his strategy is here. Is he just working a way to covertly get the dragonballs or is he actually trying to full on kill everyone who won't be majinized and take complete control of everything???
I'd say his main problem is that the 3 strongest fighters are also going to be immune to his spell. All three of them are between intelegent to genius level with huge amounts of awareness coupled with esp type of powers. The next strongest would be bra who is emotional but not necessarily evil at all. If vegeta is the bar to measure then I'd say she's safe. The one caveat being that her body will most likely be inhabited by ginyu and he will be majinized so that does make for a pretty damn good pawn.
The most interesting one will be raichi. Raichi already stated he doesn't believe he's a good guy. With him he's going to have ssj3 vegeta and hildegarn along with all the others. Fat buu, cell and raichi do make a pretty strong team. Would zen buu help the good guys or just watch from the side lines? He does not like babidi and I don't think he'd just stand there and do nothing. He's already shown he can single handedly take over the whole tournament minus gast and vegetto.

(I don't know how to separate quotes in one post so I'll make this two responses.) This is a good question. His endgame seems to be the latter based on his conversation with Dabura here. www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/page-1045.html#h_readwww.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/page-1046.html#h_readHowever, he could just be setting up pawns in various places to force a ransom. Personally I would like to see him use these guys to fight, as it might allow some temporary but fun match ups. Kakarot vs U13 Vegeta for instance (since Babidi stated he won't try to go for him.)

If he gets Raichi in his pocket, he'd be almost unstoppable. However Raichi seems to have some ability to nullify magic using his magitek gizmos, as was the case with helping release Tapion and contain hildegraun. Assuming Raichi can't block a mind controlling spell though, i'd say there's enough evil in his heart to be a candidate.

I like the theory of Ginyu getting into a character and Babidi mind controlling Ginyu-possessed character. But I doubt we'll see that, since we haven't even seen Ginyu himself in a character. Most likely that reveal will be seperate event.

Assuming Raichi can't block a mind controlling spell though, i'd say there's enough evil in his heart to be a candidate. I wonder what will happen to Raichi though. However, if Cell is able to resist him (which isn't clear yet) then the more probabilities Raichi does too. Chiefly because of two reasons: Raichi seems to be less evil than Cell. And more importanly, because how effective possession is seems to depend more on the fact whether the possession target in question is intellectual/smart enough and/or follows some kind of principles (no matter if they may appear slightly or totally evil) as opposed to just "evilz". We could also factor mental stability into the equation. Nothing has indicated Dabra is too smart or follows some kind of code. Vegeta wasn't able to be fully possessed. But he wasn't totally evil. And he also has principles of his own (muh sayan pride). He is also shown to be quite smart and self-aware many times. Cell hasn't been showed to be totally possessed (and I don't think we'll see seeing him doing any "YES MASTAAA" mental slave routine either). He is more evil than Vegeta, but he has also "principles he follows". Same "muh pride, me perfect being (showed clearly by 'What? Trying to control me! Fool!), etc". Shown to be quite intelligent and self-aware many times. Kakaroto seems to be not too intelligent (although he has come up with some interesting ideas in the latest specials), or at least, he appears too "primal", and does not follow any principle (sucker punches, would cheat in fights, etc...). The same could be said for Nappa. For King Piccolo I do not know what to say. I can't really gauge his intellect, but since he seems to have certain mental stability issues due to Kami attempting to influence him from inside. If this is considered, at most, Raichi will be Majinized but won't be obeying orders, much like Vegeta, and much like I think will also happen to Cell. Also. Let's remember that if this coup starts in the next episode, and the last fight of the round is thereby delayed, Raichi will get ghosts from all casualities during this riot, both good and evil. Depending on which people die, he could become far, far more powerful.

She's definitely well-trained, but so far she hasn't really displayed any self-control to me--and this isn't even counting her SS2, which is uncontrollable. To me, Bra doesn't have pureness of heart to keep her immune, she doesn't have the pride of Vegeta to resist control, and if she can't even keep herself from not-killing Zangya, she probably won't be able to fight off Babidi's control. Now, it could be that another requirement of Majin control is not being too powerful. Maybe Majin Vegeta was too strong for Babidi to keep under control. Neither Babidi or Bibidi could ever get Buu to obey like the other Majins, so there's that, too. If Majin control is based entirely off of willpower or amount of inner evil, then Bra is toast. If there's a cap to how strong of a person Babidi can mind-control, then Bra is probably safe, and so is Cell. It would be nice if Salagir explained how Majinization works in DBM, but I doubt that'll happen until Babidi is taken care of. That...is a terrifying thought.

It is hard to say if only because I don't know what Babidi's end game is. Is he doing all of this just to get a wish from the Dragon Balls or is this tournament just a platform for him to try to launch a multiverse conquest? I would like to learn why Babidi is at this tournament and what his wish is. I can see him wanting to wish for immortality (which eliminates the fear of Buu ever rebelling and killing him), but it would be nice to hear that. If that is the case I imagine Babidi's plot will be brushed aside or is another red herring. If Babidi has bigger ambitions like trying to rule all of creation in the multiverse then he could be a much bigger threat and a legitimate contender for one of the people putting the multiverse in danger.
I like to think that even though Vegeta's will allowed him to resist Babidi's control that it doesn't mean it is easy to fight off his control. Otherwise any villain with arrogance and pride can just fight it off easily. Babidi did give up on Vegeta. I think had he pressed the issue there would have been a big mental battle that could have eventually eroded Vegeta's willpower eventually. If the author goes that way we can potentially get characters like Cell or Bra under his control to build him up as a real threat. Who is to say Babidi hasn't improved his skills as a magician after his failure with Vegeta? There are ways to get around his previous limitations and failures, but it depends on if Babidi is just another red herring or not.

We can't be like u13 vegeta and forget about the little guy. Bad feather day is easily the mvp of babidi's army. With the push of a button he could dump u16 and thereby eliminate about half of the resistance he would face.
Although considering that u16 had their shit together enough to bring a bunch of senzus, it wouldn't surprise me if they simply reappeared 2 minutes after they were deported due to them having their own dragonballs ready to go back at home.

I think had he pressed the issue there would have been a big mental battle that could have eventually eroded Vegeta's willpower eventually. That is something to consider with Vegeta. While Vegeta did secretly allow the Majinization to take place, and he later fought Babidi's control to fight Goku, it was still a struggle. Vegeta was clawing at himself to try and force Babidi out. Remember that Dabura was the one who suggested let Vegeta have what he wants in fighting Goku, and Babidi was more focused on reviving Buu he allowed it since this would benefit them. So we don't know for certain if Babidi could have continued and ultimately forced Vegeta to be under his control. Later when vegeta fought buu, Babidi didn't seem to try and force him under control cause he wanted to test out his new pet buu. Also, Vegeta's will was compounded by a singular desire to fight Goku who was right in front of him, and he would never have the chance to finally best his rival once Goku returned to after life. I doubt U13 Vegeta would have such a drive beyond his regular pride, and would possibly make it easier. Although Babidi stated he won't go for any vegeta's, I still think U13 Vegeta would be an easier grab than his cannon counterpart.

And then there's xxi... he seems to avoid all the tournament shenanigans by hiding in his "special" apartment. Would he be immune there as I assume he's in his own dimension while in there. Is he really evil? Still nothing from him other than he really wants his wish. If babidi got in his head that could really cause the tournament to break down far more then he planned.

It's the sort of troll thing that XXI would do. You bring up a good point. XXI hasn't really done anything all that evil yet. He sent Vegito somewhere where he could survive, after all, and stopped 18 without hurting her. If it wasn't for Word of God and the whole "dimension of darkness" apartment thing, I'd think he's a pretty decent guy.

Has it been confirmed that Jeece and Barta were under Babidi's control? It does kind-of seems so but it's not that obvious.
I also just realized that the minion between them was there to make us think Ginyu was inside some random fighter's body and not in a major character. That's what I thought for some time. Fairly clever.

The first thing Babidi needs to do is drop that Idiot Ball like its hot, can the random audience kidnapping scheme, and use his controlled Vargas(plural I hope) to send everyone who isn't his bitch back to their universe.
Then spam copies of Porunga for all the wishes you want. Like implanting your mind in Majin Buu's body and wishing for immortality.

That would be awesome if Babidi did that to at leaSt one or two important characters, like vegetto, Gast or goku, and the normal vargas manged to wrestle control to prevent any more. That would give the team Babidi an edge by remo ing powerful opppnente, that's definitely needed, plus would raise the stakes as they would need the vargas controls back to get their people teleporting away back. I'm glad to see the Babidi plot continue momentum. I really hope the pay off is great, as it's one of my favorite subplots athe the moment. If he can prevent vegetto, gast, and Goku from interfering much, he's got a great line up to cause trouble. Unless XXI or Zen buu come into play, which I doubt either will.
