Okay. Smaller thoughts first: (I'm using spoilers for space reasons, not for spoiler reasons.) 1. We have a new competitor for most annoying sound in the world: "Trunksu~" in a whiny feminine voice, provided by both Mai and Bulma. (Also, Trunks saying "Mai" is getting annoying, too.)
2. At first I thought Mai had actually hit Black with her shot, but he was unaffected. This made me think they were re-retconning the Sorbet-shooting-Goku thing. It was only when I read other people's comments that I realized she shot the earring. The bullet didn't even scratch the Potara, which both Goku and Vegeta could crush with ease as Super Saiyans in the Buu saga, so I doubt it could've killed Black.
3. The music in this episode was really good. My favorite is the music that starts right as Black stands up from getting shot by Mai. Had a good beat to it.
4. Probably my favorite part was when Goku and Vegeta were talking while Zamasu was giving his speech. I wish I knew Japanese so I could know what Zamasu was actually saying. (And it's interesting that Zamasu and Black didn't even get mad about being ignored.)
5. It's really interesting how Yajirobe, who is a fat sack of lard and never really trains, has ended up being more useful than just about every human except for Tien.
6. The fight scenes were great. The Future Trunks vs. Black was my favorite. Trunks is still all business and very analytical. He should've known his blast wouldn't have killed Zamasu, though I will give him credit for thinking "there must be a limit to his regeneration."
7. So Gowasu's plan was...to tell Zamasu off? That was it? Huh. At least him repeating his speech to Black was funny.
8. Whis is an angel? Cool. In the past I've tried to find a label for what Whis is and that actually seems the best word for him. Interesting that angels are stronger than gods. Also, saying that Whis disappears if his god dies is another balancing factor. If you kill Supreme Kai, no Beerus and no Whis. (And, coincidentally, Supreme Kai is now facing god-killing opponents with no Beerus around to protect him.) By the way, what kind of angel did Goku have in mind? A cherub or something?
9. Vegeta is still his Cell Saga self...still thinks he's superior to Goku, still arrogant of being Prince of All Saiyans. Sigh. And yeah, he gets to beat down on Black, but it's hard for me to actually be excited about this, because it's been shown to us, time and time again, that this only makes Black stronger. Also, when he tells Black that his Saiyan abilities are flawed because he's in a stolen body, it begs the question--why aren't Goku and Vegeta getting loads stronger in the middle of fights, too?
10. If they end up not using the Mafuba after reintroducing it, I'll be very disappointed. I bet the fact that the pot will be superglued will end up being important.
11. Black and Zamasu fuse next episode? Well, I think the person would think of himself as just "Zamasu" because it's Zamasu + Zamasu, but I think the name "White" would be best. And I'm totally getting Xicor vibes from this guy. (We'll get back to this in a sec.) And now some bigger thoughts (two): 12. Have these past seven-ish episodes felt a bit...repetitive, to anyone? -- Goku and Vegeta go fight Black in the future, and lose. Then Goku and Vegeta go fight Black in the future, and lose. Then Goku and Vegeta go fight Black in the future, and will probably lose until they fuse or something. -- Goku beats up Black, and he gets stronger. Then Goku beats up SSR Black, and he gets stronger. Then enraged Goku beats up SSR Black, and he gets stronger. Then Vegeta beats up Black...and he'll probably get stronger. -- Both Mai and Trunks, respectively, have been almost killed multiple times. Every time this happens, we have to see the exact same scene where one of them wakes up in some underground bunker with those two little kids around and people huddled around trash-can fires. And then Mai says "Trunksu~" and Trunks says "Mai" and then Bulma's glad Trunks isn't dead and says "Trunksu~" -- Black stabs Vegeta through the kidney. Then he stabs Goku through the kidney. Then he stabs Trunks through the kidney. He's running out of kidneys to stab.
Honestly, the past few trips to Trunks' timeline haven't really accomplished anything, and they feel like filler--just an excuse to see some more fights. The plot could be condensed into one or maybe two fights in the future and it'd feel a lot less repetitive. It makes me wonder if people keep changing their mind on what should happen.
This leads me to #13: This story very much seems like fanfic. A fanfic with a budget behind it. It has that Dragon Ball Heroes-vibe of "oh what the heck, let's do it, it'd be cool." Let's have a bad guy Goku. And a bad guy god. And make Trunks cool again. And have Vegeta beat evil Goku. And then let's have the bad guys fuse, because it'd be totally awesome.
Things seem to be happening just so that they'll happen. There is no real drive to this plot; all the action is taking place in an alternate timeline, which cannot affect the heroes at home, and most of the people in Trunks' timeline are already dead. Goku and Vegeta can go when they want, and take as much time as they'd like before returning. The characters are acting as servants of the plot, not as real people.
(Multiverse also puts U18 away from home, but it's a little different: they don't control the means to get back, so they can't really take a break from their situation. They're "stuck," so the stakes are higher. Also, they don't have a Bulma to fix things for them.)
Super is still fun for me to watch, though. I like the characters of Black, Zamasu, and Gowasu, and the fights are great, but the plotting is severely lacking.

Super is still fun for me to watch, though. I like the characters of Black, Zamasu, and Gowasu, and the fights are great, but the plotting is severely lacking. Spoiler tags for space reasons. I like that. Using your numberings,
1) I hope english dub doesn't make it so obnoxious. It's fine for a shipping moment but here it's just unnecessary.
2) It's weird that it hit the earring but it managed to knock Black "flat" on his back. Anime Logic!!!!
4) Subs are up on a youtube vid, if not, basically Zamasu was preaching about how Gods were great, mortals were fools... but when he got interrupted he said to Black he's too self-absorbed to care that they aren't listening.
5) Yajirobe. Finally getting more use after cutting Vegeta's tail and giving Krillin the Senzus against the androids.
6) Back to regeneration... how does immortality result in instant regeneration? Being immortal means you don't die. Having a body that instantly regenerates sounds different. I mean sure the normal human regeneration occurs over a period of time but here it's instant. I'm so confused here.
7) I'm ashamed of you Zamasu! Goku: You wanna talk to the one with the pink hair. Ahem. I'm ashamed of you Zamasu! (We Gods don't use Pink hair)
8) I think angels watch over Gods irl but to DB, they are the teachers. They are neutral and do not act on their own (hence does not function line)
9) Plot reasons they don't get over powered. Or their defenses are high enough when Zenkais can't work but Black literally lets his guard down just to spam it.
10) Trunks right now. "If I don't fix this Mafuba Urn, Black will be the end of all of us! NO!!!"
12) It probably is filler just to tease the fans thinking "X" character had a chance to win, only for them to go back and think of a new strategy that ends up not successful.
13) Maybe the next arc will force them to be successful on a Multiverse level (not referring to DBM) and THEN that's when Zeno appears. Zeno Button activate. I don't think this arc will be the series finale so we'll probably see the true "threat" next season.

My thoughts on the regeneration is that in the end death on the cellular level means your cells die. Hence why we shed skin particles or cuts scab up. So it might be a cellular level immortality by default. Stabbing through Zamasu would kill all the cells involved. And since his body is immortal it can't allow that and regenerates them.

Okay back to the subject, isn't that basically Cell's legit regeneration as long as one cell could survive and Buu's regeneration as long as a part of him exists? Or Frieza's durability with a piece of him (well his brain) needing to survive? Major villains here just needs a part of them alive and they're good to go. Zamasu just went with the whole shebang and went immortal. Idk, kinda like how TFS Krillin said about the Dead zone movie, it feels like AT just wrote himself into a corner. Here's what I'm gonna ask. If Vegeto is technically half dead, the new fusion of Zamasu and Black would be half immortal... how would half immortality work if anyone can speculate?

I'm assuming it would either be canceled out because it's no longer "his" body that he wished to make immortal and it's now a different body. OR it depends on how much of Zamasu is portrayed in the fusion. If alot of it is then he might be immortal as well. (Or just really hard to kill)

Unless this example is poor, thus it should be disregarded. I'm gonna stick with really hard to kill. That's simplified and less confusing.

You're either alive or you're dead. Immortality is still somewhat binary but depending on how they define immortal it could become well he can die now but his healing factor is still insane. Which idk how they would handle honestly. (They as in the writers) because then he's just similar to Buu but with way more power.

One thing I'd like to point out is that Gowasu is a cold-blooded motherfucker, he didn't even flinch when Black threw a blast a him, despite know very well that would have killed him, while Shin was cowering in fear, you can see in his eyes that he considers Black and Zamasu nothing more than a misbehaving brat, despite his power.

This DBS fan wants to say fusions in DBM aren't boring. Actually, it's the other way around that I'm a bit iffy on. I like the idea of properly introducing a Deity level opponent, aka Beerus. SSG is great but the jump to SSB was a bit rushed now it just feels like transformation spam. Unless we get a new one (what would it even be called, Super Saiyan Yellow? RBY?) in the middle of the fight against merged Zamasu (not Trunk's form, we don't have a good explanation for that yet) then there isn't much significance to God level Super Saiyan Forms. Not much hardship, no trigger, just training and to quote TFS Frieza: Transformation is nice, fresh, and ripe for abuse. And spoiler warning: it’s not getting old any time soon. Just something I thouhgt.... was this Xicor character made by Toyble, right? I am considering now that there are a lot of parallels between Merged Zamasu and Xicor. Wasn't Xicor somehow Half-Saiyan/Half Deity like Merged Zamasu would be? Also, this will be the first time we'd be seeing Fusion vs. Fusion in Dragon Ball. I'm a bit hyped for this. I would have preferred Gogeta to appear, but it seems it's more likely it'd be a Vegetto. I think Gowasu and Shin staying are a foreshadowing of this. If they are going to be totally useless, then they wouldn't have stayed. I am surprised Beerus allowed Shin to travel though. Perhaps the Old Kai still serves as life insurance for him? Beerus (and the GoD of Universe 10) would have died if that blast Goku and Vegeta stopped had hit them. Actually the old Kaioshin is dead since he gave his life to Goku. I wonder if Beerus went into hibernation or something.

Before Goku finished Kid Buu with the spirit bomb, Old Kai was already revivied by the Namekian DB's. Also let's remember that Kibitoshin was alive the whole time. Needless to say, there were a shitload of instances where Beerus' existence was seriously jeopardized during DBZ. Starting with Majin Buu initial attack, Then when Dabura discovered them and blasted Kibito, then Goku vs. Vegeta in the tournament. Then Gohan and Shin vs. Majin Buu where both were seriously injured. And finally, when Kibitoshin teleported to earth to save Goku, Vegeta, Dende, Mr. Satan and his dog.

Cuz we don't know there are other Supreme Kai's in U10 He must be paired with some God of destruction (which we haven't seen yet and his existence has already been jeopardized many times by proxy, through Gowasu) but he is no "angel". In the context Shin used it, Angel = Assistant. Sort of like Whis and Vados. It also seems these guys are never replaced, and when a new god of destruction appears, they automatically reactivate.

Being perfectly honest, the "Angel" system seem a bit flawed, I get that it is a "nerf" to Whis like the Kaioshin-Hakaishin connection was one to Beerus, but shouldn't an Angel remain active in the event of their deity's death, so that they can choose candidates to become the new Hakaishin? it seemed like that was part of Whis' job back in Battle of Gods, since he offered Goku the opportunity to become the new Hakaishin should Beerus ever die.
And for that matter, how are Hakaishins chosen when the previous one dies? do we need to wait until Zeno takes notice? seem like a terribly inefficient system if that's the case, since Zeno is quite aloof, I get that gods aren't meant to die often, Beerus has been hogging the job for a LONG time, but still, the lack of gods sounds like the kind of thing that would cause a lot of trouble in the long run.

If we're gonna include BoG movie, then Whis can only appoint the new God of Destruction when he's alive. Then I guess it'd be a ritual of passing the title God of Destruction, kinda like Guru did to Moori.

Oops sorry that's what I meant. (I don't think they've given a term for it yet) but again do we know, as in they have directly stated, that Gowasu is to a U10 GoD what Shin is Beerus?

I don't know where Beerus falls in the overall scale of power among all universe's gods, but even if he was only an average God of Destruction I'd assume Black would not have been strong enough to take out any of the others and only could've gone for the Kaioshins. Makes me wonder who U10's God of Destruction is and what he's like.

Except all that means is that there were multiple Kaioshins we didn't see in U10 that also existed. It doesn't specifically say Gowasu is connected to a GoD. Any of the other Kaioshins could have been the one as well. Also he didn't say "All universes" he just said "the whole universe" as in just U10.
