I'm a Bra-defender against the worst of the hate. Her purpose in the story, what about her characterization jars you from the suspension of disbelief (the key element of any DB tale), and awed reactions from ostensibly main characters are all legitimate points of view. Viewpoints that claim that she should be punished, beaten, taught a lesson, smacked around, pinched, slaughtered, mutilated, molested, violated, humiliated, embarrassed, suffocated, abandoned, and rewritten to suit your personal desires will be gently and politely rebuked.
