Out of all of the universes shown in DBM, which is your most favorite presented?
Personally I love Universe 8 the most since Frieza, his family, and Captain Ginyu have alot going on for them. Granted they are far from being the strongest, but their occasional commentary and antics always keeps them appealing to a certain degree.
Others universe that I enjoy are 3, 4, 7, 13, 16, 17, and 18.

I'm torn between U8 and U4. I love me some Freeza wins, but Zen Buu is such a delight to have onscreen.

I voted for Universe 8 just because of the Ginyu plot but I'm quite sure that the most interesting universes are Universe 3 and mainly Universe 9 so since I know nothing about 9 yet I would put:
1- Universe 8 2- Universe 3 3- Universe 9

I voted universe 9 because I like the concept of a universe where humans defeated everyone without the help of the Saiyans or Piccolo. It allowed neglected characters to shine and give us a new way to view how useful the humans actually are. I was torn between U3, U7, U19. Those are unique universe that we've glimpsed at. I can easily see U5 topping it once we learn more about it.

Since U7 is my favorite, I shall list my seven favorite universes! U3 It's surprising how an obscure movie character (or OVA so it doesn't even qualify as a movie!) has made to be one of the most interesting characters in DBM. We also got to see King Piccolo again and he has his own inner struggle after fusing with Kami.
U4 Super Buu had so much potential and like every useful ability imaginable. We could've really have the villain win in canon so it's nice we got to see a universe where he successfully did absorb the best Z fighters and how they influenced his personality.
U7 Gast.
U8 I like that the Frost Demons are still the strongest in their universe. I would've preferred if Freeza also obtained the fifth form and that King Cold wasn't that much stronger than his sons and didn't have a sixth form. I still believe that we haven't seen the last of Ginyu so I'm looking forward to seeing him again. This current special made me like U8 more due to Nail's involvement. I had assumed that he died during the last U8 special but that resilient bastard managed to survive and help out on Freeza's capital.
U9 The only universe with Yamcha and the other human Z fighters. I thought it was a clever twist to have Yamcha end up being this universe's #17. I can't wait for the specials of this universe! I hope we get to see U9 Chi Chi and Mr. Satan in the specials.
U13 Saiyan saga Vegeta was one of the most ruthless and scariest villains so it was cool to see this version of him that went on to defeat Freeza and become a SSJ. I think it's a bit of stretch that he became a SSJ2 but I hope the explanation makes sense. Also, I liked the relationship between Raditz and Kakarotto. Would Raditz be classified as a type of anti-villain? He wants to get rid of the greater evil in his universe so he could be free to live his life even though he'll still do bad stuff just less than Vegeta.
U18 Our universe! What I like about it: -SSJ3 is the last transformation (please don't introduce another one!) -Gohan is a happy family man but still trains to maintain his power. -Vegeta is at peace and is like an uncle to Pan. -I would've liked for Goten and Trunks to be more mature but it's good that Gotenks is now more powerful and still surpasses Goku and Vegeta.

I picked U3. It's got the most compelling characters: -- Bardock, a heartless prophet who saved his people from one extinction, but could only watch helplessly as they died to a second... -- Raichi, a Nightmare-Fuel in physical form that's actually a good man, who says the dead cannot return even as he surrounds himself with them... -- King Piccolo, a demon who is being corrupted by his own goodness... -- (Kami, a god who decided he'd take a gamble and let the devil win...) -- Tapion, a lone hero who wields the very monster he was supposed to slay... Nobody's pure good here. But then again, nobody's pure evil, either. Some serious crap went down in U3, and we don't know exactly what. And Raichi's awesome.
Close follow-ups would be: U7, since Gast's such a great foil to Goku; and U13, for the Kakarot/Raditz relationship.
While I like the idea of U9, and its characters are cool, we know relatively nothing about it so it can't be my favorite. U11 is surprisingly interesting because we don't know how things went down there, so it's fun to theorize about.

My favorite would be Universe 13, seeing Goku as Kakarot and having a twist of being mentally insane rather just being a sloppy seconds Turles was a good thing. Seeing the saiyan saga Vegeta finally winning and defeating Frieza and unlocking SSJ will be a beautiful picture to see in a future chapter. Saiyan Saga is my favorite Vegeta, bar none. He was evil, cunning, smart, he showed legit tactical skills when analyzing Goku and the Z fighters on Earth and thinking of a plan on Namek. His fight with Raichi is in my top 5 fights in Multiverse all because we got to see that Vegeta again and because it was a badass fight.
My few complaints is that Raditz and Nappa were completely useless until recent events (Majin Nappa going possibly SSJ and Mystic Raditz). Nappa gives nothing extra to the story, his power level is above the Ginyu Force at best and even if he goes SSJ while Majin I won't even be hype because its fucking Nappa! Vegeta going SSJ2 was kinda of a wtf when I first saw it but then thought it was good he went further than SSJ after unlocking it possibly 40 years ago, my bet is that he used it against Broly. But him going SSJ3 was complete bs, he is so far ahead of the other saiyans in his universe who I think should all be ssj by now its ridiculous...but he does look badass lol.
What I do like is the Raditz portion. We do get a lot of backstory with Raditz that explains why he is the way he is, his relationship with Kakarot (fucking calling him Kaka even as a adult got me those brotherly feels), and his now revelation of him wanting to take out Vegeta. Fucking Raditz for the win! He's a skilled tactician and is probably the smartest second to Vegeta, if he became good after attacking Earth I believe he would be a force to be reckon with. I hope Mystic Raditz is at least SSJ2 or SSJ3 level.

3 (has had probably the best run of special chapters, and is an actual interesting series of divergences)

Interesting that the more "complex" universes are winning so far.
I'd say Universe 3 for the fact that a universe without Goku & co really makes it stand out like a completely different show overall. Second, would go to Universe 4 because I think Zen Buu is such an awesome fan depiction of Buu that I actually want him to be canon. Lastly, would go to Universe 18 because it truly has the most growth of such a well-rounded cast.
Honorable mentions: Universe 16, 13 & 7

My favorite universe would have to be universe 4, and that is solely for Zen Buu. Besides being an absolute delight to watch in the comic, and the most developed, interesting, and most entertaining character of them all. The universe also had a decent special for it as well, that shown enough change for it to not be a complete time waster. It also featured this great moment as well.

Or these others: This whole page: This other page: And this after delivering a defeat speech and unexpectedly absorbing Bulma: On retrospective this was one of the best special. At the moment it was released I wasn't that satisfied because my expectations were unrealistically high. I was expecting the whole Buu adventures after. Up to this day, we haven't really seen Buu use his true powers (or any of his powers at all), not even in the tournament. He hasn't blasted a single KI blast of his own. Not against Xenilum, not against Ten, not against Vegetto, Bra and Gohan and not even against Gotenks. Whatever he did with the ultra armor don't really count as attacks of his own for me. And when he didn't use it, he just punched and kicked the fuck out of Gotenks. No KI attacks at all.

Universe 3: mostly because of Raichi, I love his design and the fact he's a villain without really being fully evil, it's mostly just getting revenge on those who killed his people.
Also Bardock and King Piccolo are there two, yay?

Lol, you know, I like Cell's personality and confidence but that ends pretty much here and I really wish for him to be destroyed in the end of every possible parallel universe and that's why I loved Dragon Ball C's end with Dende sealing him away forever with the Mafuba, Cell is a bastard, too dangerous and totally merciless and I have pity for the people of his universe, at least under Frieza some of them can live a peaceful life like the people of Vunnvenly once lived, hell even Buu let most of the races of people alone, Cell just spread unreasonable genocide and destruction, he is like a fucking Stalin, Mao Tse Tung or Pol Pot, just like Mirai #17 and #18 but on a universal scale.

My favorite universe is 13. It's pretty much the universe where the traditional saiyan Vegeta and the last remaining saiyans prosper and take over the universe. They became the most powerful beings and became a saiyan replacement for the Frost Demon empire. Its cool to see an emperor Vegeta that doesn't know defeat. He's basically Bra because he's arrogant but hasn't paid for it like his universe 18 counter part. He's the 'Goku' of his universe; basically his and Goku's role from the main timeline are switched in universe 13. I also enjoy Kakarot's character very much. Its nice to see more of Raditz too.
All of the universes are really cool though.

Those are some very good reasons to dislike Cell since they are true. But if you want to see the worst version of Cell, read Honor Trip and see how much of a bastard Future Cell is. To give you an idea he absorbed and ridiculed his good counterpart who was powerless to stop him, killed the revived the z-fighters the night they were resurrected, killed more humans in a very disrespectful manner (imagine seeing yourself getting absorbed as Cell doesn't even pay attention to your own demise), and tried to become the ultimate god in existence (become immortal, have his own set of dragon balls, steal Bulma's time knowledge). Plus what he did to Bulma herself was pretty messed up. Give it a read!
