So after seeing episode 112, it has been revealed that Frieza desires to obtain the super dragon balls to make one single wish.
And that wish is to have omnipotent control over all of the gods, which are the kaioshin and hakaishin.
Now such a desire for the former tyrant of universe 7 fits his character since previously he wanted the namekian dragon balls for immortality, followed by the want to be revived upon joining team universe 7.
But what-if Frieza succeeds in this quest for ultimate godhood. What will happen if he becomes the new Zeno, but retains his current persona? What will happen afterwards, and how will this be resolved by the heroes in the end?
To answer these, first lets start at the tournament of power. After all every great ending needs to start from a beginning. Now most likely the likes of Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza will be the final warriors in universe 7, with Jiren being the final warrior among the three. Everyone else is eliminated. Fusion is used to create Vegito (pretend that Goku had some potara in his pockets), but not even he can completely topple Jiren. Upon defusing, Vegeta gets knocked out, but Frieza hits Jiren with a death beam, which mortally wounds him. Jiren then pummels Frieza badly, but Goku saves him by rediscovering the Ultra Instinct Form. Goku and Jiren fight tooth and nail before the time limit is up. Since universe 7 has the most fighters (Goku and Frieza), they win the tournament. Universe 11, the only universe besides 7 to not be eliminated yet, take their lost with a grain of salt, but Jiren has other plans. Revealing himself to be a former god of destruction that reincarnated himself as a mortal, Jiren charges at both Zeno's in the name of justice, but the Grand Priest fights and incapacitates him. Both Zeno's then destroy all of universe 11, and present the super dragon balls to universe 7. Goku steps forward to make a selfless wish to resurrect all destroyed universes and with the other previous 6 as his reward. Goku then prepares to tell Whis the wish so that he can say it in the language of the gods.
And that when the real fun begins!
In a pure act of cruelty, Frieza approaches behind Goku and jams his fist right through his heart, thus killing the good-hearted saiyan on the spot. Upset and shocked by the betrayal, the warriors of universe 7 attempt to exact vengeance on Frieza. But to everyone's surprise, especially to Beerus, Whis intervenes along with all of the other angels, but on the behalf of Frieza. Demanding an explanation, the Grand Priest calmly tells Beerus and everyone else confused that it is time for a revolution. Curious, Frieza asks the Grand Priest on why he is helping him, since it should be easy for a angel to tell he is the devil waiting to become a supreme god. Smiling, the Grand Priest tells Frieza he has been known this, but has decided that he wants to help him to achieve his goal since the two current Zeno's are utterly incompetent and plain old annoying. A intelligent, ambitious, young, and cruel omni-king is necessary for the next stage of a perfect life, otherwise nothing will change for the better. Touched, Frieza accepts his help and has Marcarita translate his wish to become the next omni-king. During the summoning of Super Shenron, the tired z-warriors fight the angels, but lose quickly and badly. Beerus loses to Whis, and the Grand Priest manages to hold back both Zeno's, though he is nearly killed in the process. Summoned, Super Shenron grants Frieza his wish, and transforms the deceased tyrannical beast into a being akin to the current Zeno's power-wise. And as a bonus, he is alive once again along with the fact he is immortal from natural causes.
Now as a true god, Frieza destroys the super dragon balls before they could fly away, thus guaranteeing his transcendence forever. Frieza then challenges and kills both Zeno's, thus making him the undisputed master of the multiverse. Bowing before his new master, the Grand Priest formally announces him as the new omni-king, with everyone in universe 7 in disbelief that such a fate could have happened. Beyond delighted, Frieza decides to spare the warriors of universe 7 since they deserve "a days rest after a long day of fighting hohoho", but promises to kill them off when the time comes. Overpowered, Whis teleports everyone back to Earth, and the heroes reflect on the events leading up to the ToP.
And thus the Universal Survival Arc ends with the final arc, the war among god (working title lol), begins that will close super once and for all.
Here is how I see it getting resolved.
Now in this arc, it will surpass the stakes that the universal survival arc created. Instead of trying to win in order to save your universe along with the possibility of others, the z-fighters now have to defeat the omni-king himself, which is now Frieza. And with 12 powerful angels by his side including the Grand Priest, it is nearly impossible to surmount with their vastly gross powers. And despite having Beerus as a ally, without either Goku or the Super Dragon Balls, the situation seems bleaker than ever for them, yet refuse to give in. Vegeta vows to kill Frieza, something he has failed with his entire life.
In the World of Void, now deserted with no afterlife, the soul of Goku wanders in the endless dimension while damning his luck, but discovers something within that might change the game. And that is a man named Zalama, a namek persecuting one of the namekian warriors in universe 6 before getting erased and merging with Goku's soul.
In Zeno's place that has been decorated to his liking, Frieza learns that the Grand Priest can only remain active if a Zeno is alive, so he has a life link to Frieza, though no ill effects will come to Frieza's life if he is killed in battle. The Grand Priest also reveals his original plans to use the super dragon balls to become the omni-king himself, but finds Frieza a perfect substitute. After many more reveals, Frieza finally understands on what the Grand Priest means by a perfect life, which is basically a multiverse utopia for the angels and nothing else more, but with Frieza being the king forever and ever. Liking the idea, Frieza desires 11 gods of destruction and supreme kais to his services, but the grand priest persuades him to not think about that just yet. Asking Frieza why he spared universe 7, Frieza reveals that he will destroy it whenever he wants, but has more important things on his mind. Attending the meeting, Whis cringes and vows to stop the new regime no matter what, something that he has never wanted in the first place. Creating a astral projection along with Cus and Cocktail, they arrive on Earth and begin training the heroes and Beerus to at least reach the gods of destruction level. Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Android 18, and Android 17 are the only ones who can handle it, and accept the training with Beerus getting advanced courses.
And one month passes by.
Frieza is pleased with his ability to create new life, and has conjured his new hakaishin and kaioshin. Assigning a angel to each one, Frieza orders Whis and the new hakaishin and kaioshin to kill off Beerus and Shin. Frieza then creates 11 new universes, with new life starting with the intentions of worshiping just Frieza and the angels.
In universe 7, Whis arrives with his two new guests, but is stopped by Beerus and vegeta. Others are on standby. A great battle occurs that has Beerus barely killing the new hakaishin, with Vegeta doing likewise to the new kaioshin. Delighted with their progress since both entities had a ridiculous amount of power, Whis quickly congratulates them before heading back to Lord Frieza for renewal of plans. Relieved, they rest, though the astral angels propose a plan to venture into every new universe and take down the gods in them. They agree to this.
Catching on to their plans while impressed with their victory, Frieza decides to simply see what they can do since no one else in creation can even challenge his might. The Grand Priest shares his sentiments, but feels suspicious on his son Whis, and how the mortals became so powerful in a single month.
And several months pass by with the z-fighters defeating all of their adversaries. Stronger than ever despite the many trials they have faced and suffered through, they receive a special invitation from the Grand Priest to come into Lord Frieza's palace. They have up to 72 hours to attend via portal, or all of universe 7 is erased in a single second. And when three days come by, the five strongest along with Beerus march in and are confronted by all 12 angels, with both Frieza and the Grand Priest waiting deep within the castle. But to the six fighters surprise, Whis and two angels betray their kind, and assist them with equivalent numbers. Eventually they win, but only Whis, Beerus, and Vegeta are strong enough to continue on. The defeated and supporters on Earth give their energy to them (mainly Vegeta) to energize them. Confronting the two, the Grand Priest fights his son and Beerus as Vegeta has a sole match against Frieza.
And both battles are epic beyond words, with Vegeta revealing the Ultra Instinct form mastered. But eventually all of the heroes are defeated, and Frieza mocks them as he prepares to finish them off.
And that is when Frieza's eyes open wide.
Deflecting a death beam through Vegeta's chest, Goku arrives who is alive and well. Coughing up blood, Vegeta thanks the heavens as Goku tells him that Frieza will pay for his crimes. Not pissed off surprisingly since he still believes he is superior, Frieza asks how he has came back, with Goku keeping that a secret. Vowing that Frieza will pay for his crimes once and for all, Frieza laughs and orders the Grand Priest to fight against Goku.
And they clash.
But interestingly, Goku fights against the Grand Priest equally despite only being in base form. Interested, Frieza watches as both hammer on each other with both bleeding in multiple areas. Tired of the game, the grand priest uses his full power that distorts the fabric of time itself. Goku however simply smiles, closes his eyes, and uses a new transformation altogether. Interest peaked even more, Frieza asks what this is, and Goku reveals it is Ultra Instinct God, a form that was birthed upon his death and merger. Confused by the last part, Goku reveals that Zalama, the creator of the super dragon balls, fused with his soul before being erased since he used the super dragon balls in Age 741 to see the future. Realizing the horrors Frieza will bring, Zalama lay low and vowed to give a "warrior of great love" the necessary power to stop him. And to do this, he used the last remaining strength to revive super shenron and merge it with Goku, which Goku reveals seven spheres in his chest. And by drawing on the power of super shenron, the ultra instinct form was not only mastered, but allowed to fuse with his super saiyan blue form to create this hybrid state that being amplified by eternal dragon magic. Readying his fists, Goku clashes against the Grand Priest once more.
And wins.
Defeated, the grand priest praises Goku's strength. But to his shock, Frieza brutally murders the fallen priest, which shocks and angers Goku. Laughing at the foolishness of the priest, Frieza reveals he never had no intentions of a angel utopia, but a world filled with frost demons with his image alone being revered among the new masses. He simply waited this long to see the limits of his influence, and is pleased that he has no limits at all.
Cracking his knuckles, Frieza leaves his throne and challenges Goku into their fourth and final duel. Feeling the same, Goku readies himself for ultimate combat.
And just like their second duel, Frieza easily overpowers Goku despite having a new form. But the fighting takes place all over the multiverse, and their clashing threatened to destroy all of reality to bring everything back into "pure black chaos". Injured and tired with Frieza none for worse, Goku orders King Kai to create a spirit bomb that filled with the energies of everyone in universe 7. But with the fighting continuing, Goku is near his breaking point as Frieza brutally pounds on his being. Close to death, Vegeta intervenes and slcies Frieza's cheek, thus drawing blood. Making fun of a god that can be wounded in battle, Frieza becomes pissed and ruthlessly kills Vegeta in front of Goku. Saddened by his demise, Goku draws on more of his willpower and uses the kaioken in his new form, a feat even he has yet to due yet. The added power and focus allows him to punish Frieza, but Frieza quickly regains control of the fight.
With the spirit bomb complete over his planet, Whis teleports the attack to Frieza's realm, and convinces all of his siblings to merge their essence with the attack at the cost of their own lives. Doing so, the "Angelic Spirit Bomb" is complete, and Goku launches it at Frieza, Catching it and amazed by its power, Frieza with his endless powers pushes it back, which slams into Goku before detonating.
Announcing his grand victory, Frieza prepares to destroy universe 7, but Beerus intervenes, but is too incapacitated. But before he could be killed, the leftover energy of the spirit bomb explodes to find Goku back into action. Absorbing all of the hopes of everyone, Goku launches a angelic dragon fist, which burns with the will of the masses and the desires of super shenron. Connecting, Frieza is slammed and has his wish-obtained powers stripped away from him. Now a mortal with his previous limitations, he and Goku battle one final time, with Goku killing him with a mighty kamehameha that incinerates his entire existence since he was dead. With the deed done, the super dragon balls exit him and create super shenron. Shenron then resurrects all of the deceased and original universes in place of the new ones (new souls made by frieza get transferred), though he cannot bring back the angels or Frieza. But with both Zeno's gone forever too, Goku asks for Zalama to exit him and take Zeno's place, and simply maintain the balance in a comfy manner. Shenron does so, and the namekian praises Goku before taking the role of Zeno in the multiverse palace, but without the omnipotent power or megalomania.
Super Shenron decides to stay with his master, and Goku teleports his group back to Earth.
Slowly over the course of Uub's debut, the heroes converses with the other universes and tells them what happened. With no real need for a higher hierarchy, the gods of destruction disband and do their own things, though the kaioshin want to help maintain the balance in their own universe. Beerus decides to simply walk the multiverse, and vows to surpass Goku while sparring against Vegeta time from time. With the staff of his late friend, Beerus takes off into the deep corners of the cosmos. And the heroes finally relax from such tumultuous times, with hope being higher than ever in the horizon.

You know, I would have never thought in a thousand years I would subscribe to a theory like this. Frieza's return in super originally was a hit and miss that had him achieving insurmountable power in a silly four months span. And his return in the tournament by replacing Buu had a negative ring to me (along with the majority in this forum), but it is without question that Frieza is actually one of the few best things in super currently. His demeanor, fighting tactics, speeches, and theme songs give him a unique air that no other character in DBS can match. And the theory going around originally that he would betray both universe 7 and 9 to join 4 was tasty, especially the notion he was going to kill Goku or Vegeta beforehand to weaken their numbers. And getting confirmation on his true desires gave birth to this theory, which surpasses another theory going around that Frieza might become a god of destruction in another universe. So if either this or my angel rebellion theory comes into fruition, I will be extremely happy that I had predicted two things that will change DBS forever.
So please tell me if you subscribe to this theory or why you absolutely despise it. And if you see things going down a different path than the one I presented, then please share them.
