How would you feel about Freeza training in Hell for the past decade under a evil god/demon lord who was killed by either the Kai or Beerus in the past? That way Freeza still trains for several years and learns how to use demon ki the polar opposite of god ki. I think some kind of evil Supreme Kai counterpart would be better than a demon lord akin to Dabura. Beerus is likely to have just HAKAI'd any kind of annoying being that would interfere with his ice cream or something--and I believe that once HAKAI'd there is no soul. That's just conjecture though. Anyway, maybe have Evil Kai be akin to Hades from Greek mythology and his job (which he would hate) is to watch over evil souls until reincarnation, which Frieza stubbornly refuses to do. Training Frieza gives him something to do out of petty spite for his heavenly counterpart. It also works to further just how opposite the two are (heaven and hell) since Shin kinda sits around and lets things take their natural course while Evil Kai takes matters into his own hands...which ALSO would allude to freaking Zamasu as another Kai who takes matters into his own hands. Of course, this would also mean that Frieza would train for 20 years and STILL have a stamina problem unless we were to rewrite RoF even more (which I wouldn't mind doing since it was terrible). Maybe have Goku & Vegeta *gasp* actually work together to defeat him! Or have him annoy Beerus to the point that Frieza gets HAKAI'd for his troubles or something due to his increased arrogance, or at the very least beaten down to the point that Goku can handle him. ...Or just keep the stamina problem and have him bet that he can finish things before he runs out of power or something. I dunno. I think either way is definitely a better alternative to what we got. I was thinking losing the stamina issue altogether and just have Goku and Vegeta work together to defeat Freeza.

I absolutely would have preferred a more Cooler-esque augmented form but that isn't really Toriyama's style, is it? He's always been a fan of assuming changes being stupidly strong. In any other anime, Frieza's 3rd form would have been his final one because of how massive and grotesque it was.

Remember, even though Toriyama didn't "make" Cooler, he did make the design for him IIRC.

Meh wasn't much of a fan of it but frankly got used to it. Power Creep... Yeah with it being Dragon Ball It kinda flew over my head, to be honest. I know people will try to argue that consistency went out of the window in Buu Saga but frankly, I'd say that with villain shuffle saga... I mean Cell Saga it already committed suicide. I mean damn Gohan went up 3 levels in just what... 11 days? Yeah, sure 1 day was spent in HTC but still. Vegeta must have been freaking mad at that time. Took him 3 years to become Super Saiyan and then 2 extra to reach FPSSJ (assuming he did) and then Gohan got both + SSJ2 in just little over a year.
In the end, I don't really care that much. It grew onto me and sweet Jesus training results in Dragon Ball were always crazy... Piccolo Jr. Died with a power level between 2000 and 3000. After less than a month of training, he was powerful enough that his fusion with Nail (42k) bumped him above 1.000.000. Remember that around 5-6 months of same training increased Goku's strength 20 times... So yeah Freeza's training results were more or less acceptable... Especially since he still screwed up in the end.

Apologies it will be double post but... I wonder how much exactly (in relation to his own natural power) would Freeza need to improve to reach SSB tier? His starting point is the lower end of SSJ tier after all. So if we assume the most commonly used multipliers he'd need to get 8 times stronger to reach SSJ 3 level of power and then what? How much increase are god levels in relation to previous form? Anything in between 2 to 4 makes it not that "big" gap that never been crossed in Dragon Ball. Heck even in Buu Saga it took Gohan only couple hours to make up for 7 years of not training. Or at least that's an impression I had from his training with Z Sword.
