With all the fights that have gone down, some have been better received than others. That said, if you had author control, a team of artists on par of Asura, to act as massive edit button... which of the fights we have seen would you have changed. Either outcome of the fight, or just what happened during the fight itself. Since I know one fight most people will probably focus on, I'm gonna be a little different. I would have changed how the U 13 Kakarot vs U 18 Vegeta, and how it went down. For me, this battle had a lot of hype building up to it, with both fighters wanting to surpass their own universes partners/ rivals. (IE Vegeta wanting to beat Goku, Kakarot wanting to beat Vegeta). We got some focus early on to U18 Vegeta hyping himself for the fight. www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/page-106.html#h_readWe got sprinkles of his motivation for facing Kakarot throughout the tournament. Not to mention, U18 veggie probably wanting to get some payback on Kakarot for his treatment of Pan during their fight. What we got though was a quick one nearly one sided curb stomp of Kakarot from Vegeta, who no longer seemed to have any interest of his fight whatsoever. www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/page-1047.html#h_readI was fine with Kakarot going SSJ Ape form, and more than fine with him losing. But that fight just felt really rushed for all the hype surrounding. Kakarot threw one blast, then gets his tail ripped out after attempting to crush vegeta. I would have had Kakarot give Vegeta a few more pummelings as big Ape form, or at least the two of them trading a few more blows. Once vegeta managed to rip the tail off, have kakarot manage to still go after him with a few more swings, perhaps getting in a kick to vegeta's face or something, all while Vegeta smugly deconstructs him the same way he did Semi Perfect Cell and managing to beat him down, before delivering the final blow. I have no idea what the fuck was the point of this part The fight as it is now, was over in about 4 moves, as i'm not counting Kakarots failure joke blast as a move, and felt very underwhelming for all the wait and build up to it.

Maybe I wasnt reading it right but I was under the impression he was eagerly awaiting his fight with his Kakarotto. He'd already seen this one in action twice and knew there was no point. This guys also a complete stranger to him and other than looking similar might as well be anyone else.
Most of the fights are pretty brief when you go back and read the finished product but they sure don't feel like it when you're waiting for the next page.

That maybe true about Vegeta's eagerness to fight Kakarot changing over the course of the tournament and he became less interested, but if that was the case perhaps they should have illustrated that in some way. In was line of dialogue right as the fight started seem contrary to his characterization throughout the story. Especially since he still seemed eager to fight some version of Goku during the Raichi fight. As far as the fights feeling short, I would agree, except the Vegeta vs Kakarot is ridicously shorter compared to some of the others, with only 9 pages total. Not including joke fights like Goku vs random saiyan, Goku vs Android 17, etc, this was one of the shortest fights in the whole DBM comic. Its definately been the shortest of the round three battles. Freeza vs Goku was even longer by one page, and that had a lot more panels, since the great Ape panels took up more space. Compare

This is going to be obvious, but the recent Bra v. Cold fight. All we'd have to do is keep the deal intact, but have Cold overwhelm Bra in Sixth Form, so much so that she goes SSJ reflexively (like during the beatdown Rage!Cold was giving her). Sure, she'd win, but Cold would leave with the "moral" victory and Bra could get some much needed development and humiliation. There'd be no senzu involved so no one could claim it was cheap, either.
These doubts about her own skill (or anger at her inability to deal with Cold on his terms) could eat away at her as Raichi picks her apart mentally.

I would change the Bra and Cold fight as well. I would still have Bra win and get rid of the senzu bean as well, but I would have added more to this fight. More emphasis should have been put into the close range combat. I would keep the ki blasts reflection match, but I wouldn't allow Cold to take so much damage from it and I would have used that as a opportunity to justify the four arms by showing Bra struggle trying to keep up with Cold (not the other way around). This when I would have introduced her different techniques here. It shows Bra has learned different techniques from the Z-fighters or other people (similar to Goku), to show she is not all power. I probably wouldn't have done the clone trap thing exactly, but maybe Bra having an explosive double based on Tien's multiform and Gotenks Ghost Kamikaze. Gradually Cold would start using his techniques to counter, to show off Cold is more deadly than Freeza and Cooler. For funs its revealed Cold learned Instant Transmission (and how to sense ki) like Metal Cooler did.
Bra would get in more desperate straits and overwhelmed by Cold. She is on the losing end of the fight, getting wrecked pretty bad, but she manages to use solar flare to blind Cold than use her ki blade to cut him in half to win. Bra still wins through skills and tactics, while still realizing she barely won the fight and she seriously underestimated Cold. It is a lesson of humlity for her, but she still remains in the tournament and shows us she is a skilled warrior who overcame her opponent through skill and technique (which I don't think the chapter did a well enough job at).
I think I would have added more to the 17 and Goku fight. Goku never fought against the cyborgs and 17 never fought against Goku that it could have been fun for them to talk more. I would like to see Goku's reaction to learning how 17 killed Gohan and ravaged the Earth. Goku would channel his inner rage and chose to humiliate 17 or make him feel fear for the first time by casually deflecting everything 17 throws at him, similar to how 17 and 18 did in their universe. It might sound out of character for Goku, but I like how did that to Freeza on Namek after he killed Krillin.

It flows a lot better and feels a lot more organic and has potential to be a lot more gripping, than Bra getting tired after blocking/parrying like four punches, then getting completely drained after knocking back peashooter ki-blasts for a minute or two, getting pwned, only to omnomnomnom a senzu and go " No, Kold, it's you who is pwned!". It sounds like a two chapter deal, like Vegetto vs. Brolly/ U13 Vegeta vs. Raichi, tho - so people who whine about U16 for sake of whining, would unsurprisingly - whine. I would imagine a good break point and cliffhanger would be Bra getting desperate and kicking Kold out of the arena and into deep space, only for him to pop back in and clock her in the face. I said it once, i'll say it again - this is the first main chapter that had me grab my head, pull my hair and groan: "Why the hell would you do that?!" Kinda hard to believe, that the same person who scripted, for example: Dabura vs. Cell, Vegetto vs. Brolly, Kold vs. Bardock, U13 Vegeta vs. Raichi, also wrote this... travesty.

Any change that had King Cold advance or actually show he had a chance against a far superior opponent is a bad change. King Cold fans need to just accept that he never had a chance. Bra agreed to the handicap because she knew Cold didn't have a chance and even after two sudden power ups he was still outclassed by base form Bra in terms of skill and strategy. Bra will not put such a handicap against the later opponents as they actually are a challenge even as Super Saiyan. Besides if she went Super Saiyan her haters would rage harder than the senzu bean as they would day Bra is weak, cannot keep her word and get the fakse impression that Bra even needs Super Saiyan to defeat Cold when she didn't.

These doubts about her own skill (or anger at her inability to deal with Cold on his terms) could eat away at her as Raichi picks her apart mentally. First, the fact you think that Cold having a 'moral' victory over Bra = development is madness. Way too many people are of the opinion that a loss or her gettin outright bashed magically leads to instant character development. THAT is braindead lazy writing of the highest order. I like Bra as she is. If she gradually changes over time or quickly due to a legitimately traumatic experience, I could accept that. Would I be shattered? Depends on how she changes. If she turned into a useless smartarse cunt like U18 Bra, I riot. Why can't people admit that they just want to see Bra have her shit kicked in purely for their own satisfaction? You don't like the character, that's fine, I understand, I have my own list of characters I can't stand and want the same thing to happen to them. However I won't be crying out that said characters needed it for 'development'. That is rubbish. If every character changed that dramatically after a fight in a manga about fighting it would be retarded, especially if the writers are doing it as a knee jerk reaction to satisfy vocal snowflakes. I am a Gohan fanboi, so I am very bitter about his treatment after the Cell Games because of crybaby Goku fans. Second, Bra wouldn't be humiliated by losing to an opponent that goaded her into remaining in her base form while hiding 2 unknown transformations, much less have it mentally torment her as the tournament progresses. Would she be pissed off? Fuck oath, anyone would be, but humiliated? Nah. Doubting her skills because she was literally out muscled? Not a chance mate. She seems like the type of person that would think "Shit, I handicapped myself too heavily, guess it's time for more training". Sure she might say to others that he cheated, yada yada yada, but mainly because admitting she made a stupid mistake would give cheeky pricks like Trunks and Goten waaaay too much satisfaction/ammunition for extended shits n giggles. Third, how can Raichi attack her mentally? He has nothing on her to work with. Showing ghost Pan early will just make Bra angry enough stop piss fartin around and insta kill him. Only chance he has of achieving anything close to mental torment is by wearing her down to the point she can't physically defend herself or announce she gives up, then get ghost Pan to torture her. Lastly, Cold vs Bra was fine. Far from the best in DBM, but far from the worst. That said, you can't deny how electric the comment section was as it unfolded. Literally EVERYONE was completely invested until the senzu bean. Being Pro-Bra I continued to enjoy both the comic and the comment section as the chapter closed out. I would not change that fight one bit. Fights that I would change are those with Gotenks, I would make them shorter. I don't like Gotenks. I would have also made Freeza the victor against Goku. I don't like Goku. I want him to stay dead. Even with the clever usage of USSJ, I was disappointed with Trunks vs Vegeta, mainly coz Trunks didn't have SSJ2 to make the fight be more than just a novelty father-son sparring session. Aside from a few neat suprises, like Vegeto instantly losing, XXI using a remote, Videl holding her own against Cold, Kakarots SSJ monkey business, Broly's 'Legendary' transformation actually being legendary (I don't like Broly or his autistic fanbase), Cell enlarging himself, Freeza's new ability, Raditz/Yamcha being somewhat competent and Zen Buu in general, everything so far is pretty much going as one would expect.

@super Saiyan Pink Goku Black:
Yes, my problem wasn't the outcome, but how it was presented. I know people might not have liked a two chapter fight, but DB fights are long. It is very hard to confine all these fights to one chapter. If you read the manga for DB you know a lot of fights can run for several chapters. I understand people get annoyed faster since DBM releases a few pages during the week instead a whole chapter, so it feels like these fights drag on forever, but if you go back there are pretty fast or fast paced. As the tournament progresses and we get to more powerful combatants I think we are eventually going to get fights that span two or three chapters. I felt Bra and Cold should have been two chapters to have spent time on the match and show off what both contestants can do. Neither Cold nor Bra looked good in that fight. They both got exhausted way too fast from the ki exchange.
Personally I wouldn't have minded too much if the deal never happened and Bra clean swept Cold like Vegeta did Kakarot, but since Salagiri wanted the fight to be more balanced and I assume entertaining by coming up with the no Super Saiyan rule that he should have structured the fight better. Neither side needs to outright pwn the other, but show off their skills and make the fight entertaining. Cold just beating Bra for a few pages wasn't fun nor was Cold taking massive damage from his own ki attacks. It felt too rushed.
@invader Jim:
I agree that a instant change shouldn't happen with Bra. I do think that fight could have served as a starting point for Bra's character development. Ideally events from the comic should still go into making her grow as a character, but it shouldn't be a instant change like a light switch.

Being unable to beat with Cold without SSJ would be a blow to her pride (yes she has pride, look at her boasting before the match). Alternatively, take the idiot ball out of Cold's hands and have him not play space tennis. Dude's a pretty smart fighter, make him one. Have him and Bra go through a battle of tactics, and SHOW that she's a smart fighter WITHOUT resorting to the senzu trick. She had the goo clones, why not use them sooner when Cold decided he wasn't having any of Bra's shit? Bra getting the shit beat out of her and then popping a Full Restore removed any tension from the fight and Bra look like a total scumbag.

What bothers me isn't the senzu bean or the new tricks, but Bra saying "I was only using basic attacks to make it interesting." Baloney! How could she know Cold wasn't going to kill her before she could wear him down or eat a senzu? She underestimated him three times! I don't believe that she had the situation under control at all. I think Bra had to keep the gravity-goo a surprise or it wouldn't work when she went for the kill. While a technique-based fight sounds cool, I'd like to show from the get-go that Bra was trying to stay the heck away from Cold. Cold didn't really move that much, and I would've liked watching him chase Bra around the arena, matching his strength and speed against her maneuverability. I really love the moment when Cold bursts from the flames and beats the snot out of Bra. He's not smug, he's not annoyed, he's ticked. Epic. But we can't get that moment unless Bra makes him mad, and the only way Bra could still win after that is if she uses a senzu... Poor Salagir. I don't know if there's any way he could've written the Bra vs. Cold fight without getting somebody mad.

I understand why Cold would have to lose for both story and power reasons, and I know Cold would get roflstomped by someone this far in. I just want him to go out better than his sons, who are basically cannon fodder now. I figure Cold was basically a tank, and Bra would naturally try not to stay in range. Cold could be using Death Saucers to force Bra to dodge in a direction he wanted her to. Bra could use regular Afterimages if she ever did find herself in close, saving the goo clone for a critical strike somewhere. It might wind up a longer fight this way, but it would do a better service to both parties, I feel. I'm sure it could be done.

Yamecha and 18 match. I would have liked to seen Yamecha move on and see how powerful he is as a cyborg. I wanted Krillin to win against Tapion. He did such a great job during that fight that I felt bad he lost. I know he would have been crushed by Cell, but still would have liked Krillin to have moved on ahead of Tapion.

I wonder if he's going to behave DBZAdbridged like on the specials.

Well I am The REAL Kakarotto but yeah, kinda wished his fight with U18 Vegeta was a bit better. Like instead of transforming into Super Saiyan Great Ape and not managing to land many hits on Vegeta (one shot he thought he punched Vegeta but Vegeta just Dodged... lol.) and then gets his tail ripped. And then failed with the Kienzan. Vegeta didn't go killer or else the fight would've ended early but I'd wish the U13's main powers were at least about as strong as A19 and 20. Not strong enough to beat the Cyborgs but stronger than "last time" they fought Frieza.
Oh and the Bra vs Cold match. A fist fight for Cold rocks. But him shooting Ki blasts just makes me think of White Kyurem. Sharp Claws and fangs but for a special attacker? Kinda weird.

The South Supreme Kai vs Fat Buu match. He goes in and actually finds himself and the Grand Kaioshin, and pulls them out. He escapes with them and Fat Buu reverts right to Kid Buu. They fight and Buu is dq'ed for breaking some rule or South forfeits first. Then either Zen Buu explains to his younger self what's up or Vegito beats him to the point of exhaustion then hands him over to Babidi to seal or boss around. Skipping over Buu's rampage, we get Buu giving Kid Buu some mental stability and maybe a quick run down of the tournament rules while he's helping everyone. Then Kid Buu vs Uub is the next fight. Uub has a tougher fight but still manages to win since Kid Buu wouldn't even be as tricky as Fat Buu was. And while all that's happening, the U11 Supreme Kais and Babidi are not having a good time together :V

It would also be cool if Bra pulled out a Masenko in the cold fight.
