Okay so another question! I don't remember the technique name(Final Buster?) but why does Future Trunks perform hand formations like a Ninja Technique? Is there some logic behind that? Burning Attack* Looks surprisingly similarly to I wonder why... Since Dragon Ball appeared long before Naruto, it isn't where Trunks's attack is based off.My guess is Toriyama and Toei just though it would look cooler to make him do those movements. That attack was also used for distraction, so he could slice Frieza in half, so probably those movements are used to further distract the opponent.

DB is all about the rule of cool. I guess an in universe answer would be it allows Trunks to charge his ki faster. Roshi had to come up with a whole stance himself to create Kamehamaha.

1. Why could the Spirit Bomb kill Buu when nothing else could?
Plot device, also (Kid) Buu is so weak that even mystic Gohan and Gotenks can beat him

I'm going to ignore the other explanations for the sake of fun. Its in universe rule of cool as well. Trunks was a teenager who would be into all sorts of cool but impractical techniques. Those sword moves? 17 would mercilessly roast him, literally and figuratively. So little Trunks made a really cool looking technique he never had the chance to use because 18 would feed him his teeth if he tried it against her, and when he finally had a fight against someone he could beat with his eyes closed, he took that chance to use all the cool moves he couldn't ever use in a serious fight.

Almost finished with dbz manga (already done with db). So here's a glaring problem I saw in the cell saga that totally contradicts itself on the same page. After they use the db's to resurrect everyone killed by cell we see goku with king kai and king kai is still dead (got the halo) even though he was killed by cell. King kai even goes on to state that he's not mad at goku because the dragon brought him back to life. WTH?

This hurts my brain:
In Shin Budokai 2, we learn that the choosen one (Gohan II) was stated to lift the Z sword, so how the hfil can Trunkie lift it in Super?! Did he met FGohan in that world?
Update
Also where are Goten's and Pan's tails? Chi-Chi doesn't know about the oozaru (unlike Bulma, who most likely cut Trunkses' and Bra's tails), and the daizenshuu 7's info about Pan NOT becoming a SSJ nor oozaru EVER was a mistranslation (yes guys, bring it oozaru Pan and SSJ4 Pan)

I think Gohan being the chosen one was mostly played up in video games. I can't recall if Gohan lifting the Z-Sword was meant to indicate he was destined to lift the sword, but was more of a power thing. Trunks lifting it is probably because he is insanely strong enough to lift it too.
Bulma or Gohan probably told Chi-chi about the transformation when Goten was born, so they cut off his tail. If Pan was born with a tail they would cut it off too.

Couldn't tell how strong kibito and supreme kai are in the manga but both goku and gohan held the sword in base and I believe the manga said that the Supreme kai could one shot Freeza. Supreme didn't try to lift the sword but kibito couldn't do it at all. I think this gives a lot of credibility to the idea that the sword was protected against the kais even though it wasn't stated as such in the manga.

Trunks was a powerful Super Saiyan, so it is not that odd he can pull out before he reached SS2.

As for the tails remember humans DON'T have tails so it becomes a recessive gene, where Gohan was born with one Trunks, Goten and Pan could be born without. Plus the fact that any of the Z warriors could warn Chi Chi about the tail issue due to dealing with both Goku and Vegeta as Oozarus. As for the Z Sword, that's a video game, DBZ video games should not be used for facts and we can kinda gauge that most Saiyans could wield it, remember Goku asked to hold the sword and even though he struggled he did manage to swing it with some ease.

I contemplated this, and my theory is it is extrapolating off of Pickles' Demon style which he trained Gohan in, and which in that alternate Future was the style Gohan had the most experience in. So when he taught Trunks the pseudomystical Martial Arts and Ki Techniques he learned from Pickles Trunks developed this attack from Demon Mudras. It is called Burning attack so it seems to imply more heat then the concussive energy of most natural Ki attacks.
