Was it ever implied in the original manga the Namekian healing stops working if you are too strong? Dende offered to heal Buu Saga Goku and that idea was only shot down cause Kibito Kai couldn't teleport. I don't remember that was a thing. I believe Salagir made this special case for Vegetto only. I mean, after all, a namekian was able to heal both Goku and Vegeta on page 2272.

let's pay some attention to how comically incompetent Vegito is in this scene. Not only can he not communicate, the senzu beans were RIGHT THERE but he didn't take any, and went to confront the #2 in the tournament (From his perspective, at least) in an extremely drained state.

Okay the fact that this blow KOed Broly and well everything it did and didn't even knock him out of the Legendary form is actually so dumb. He should've died but to not even depower to base is a pitiful undersell.

Unlike later, Zen Buu really look and sound like the villain he used to be on the Buu arc.
Explanations for the "breathing in space" from Salagir on this page: The part about Broly is so funny and nonsensical. xD

How the fuck does one remain transformed, and "unhurt" but somehow a prisoner of an attack that was just a big energy blast? That is like the dumbest possible cop out he could've come up with.
Also the whole communicate with telepathy thing would've made more sense if you didn't draw them with their mouths open anyway. How do you hold your breath with an open mouth?

This might have been more work, but it might have been better to modify this page a bit to not have the mouths moving and keep the telepathic thoughts in their own specialized bubbles/dialogue box as we see here to indicate they aren't talking normally, but with their thoughts. Having said that this isn't a big deal for me. I am willing to buy that they were speaking telepathically to each other.
I have said my piece on how DBM handled Broly, so I won't repeat myself. Instead, I want to focus on the showdown between Vegetto and Buu. This is still one of my favorite encounters. It is also cool to see Vegetto get here in one go unlike Buu, since he never lost track of Broly's ki. It shows Vegetto, like Goku before him, is more cunning than people realize. U4 Buu being surprised that Vegetto teleported right away and that he knew what he was after. I know future events make it obvious U4 Buu can easily deal with Vegetto with his magical knowledge, but it really doesn't ruin this moment for me. It does a good job in building up Vegetto as the ultimate power and authority that he sees himself as. That is perfect setup for Vegetto's eventual fall in the story, with events will chip away at Vegetto's sense of power and authority.
The showdown between U16 and Buu is still one of my favorites. My only complaint is that I wish the comic had balance with U16 Bra that they nailed here.

I do always wonder if Buu Destoryong technique could work on Cell. All the technique seems to do is completely destroy whatever it touches. I think that could have been a cool way for Vegeta to have beaten Cell. If he destoryed every bit of Cell until he got to the core then destoryed it with SS3 transformation that could have been an awesome ending for that fight.

Up next is U16 vs. U4 Buu. That was another memorable, even if it is short, DBM battle. Is this our first mention of XXI? If only Vegetto had come up with a technique that can force all of Buu's pieces to go back to their source and prevent Buu from splitting himself up. If he had come up with a technique like that then Buu wouldn't be as hard for him to defeat. That is not a criticism though. It makes sense why Vegetto never thought to do that. In canon Buu never thought to use his abilities to split pieces of himself off, to have as insurance in case his main body was destroyed. Vegetto wouldn't come up with a technique to counter it. That was a cool way to show U4 Buu evolved and became a much bigger threat by using harnessing the full potential of his amazing abilities.
