Yes, yes you are. Let's be real, if you're not a saiyan, you're a joke in DBZ.
What about Cell? Does he count as a joke OR does he pass as enough Saiyan to not count as a joke? As for DBZ, you're right, but Super seems to paint a much different picture as you have characters like Goalden Fureeeza, Hit, Jiren, Toppo, and Buu if you take away the deus-ex-machina that he falls asleep every time his ridiculously OP powers/abilities set is needed cuz Toeiyama doesn't know how to have Buu not make things far too easy for U7.
Though apparently Toyotaro knows how to make Buu work without making things too easy for U7 as the Moro Arc seems to have taken advantage of Buu's ridiculously OP powers/abilities without it being a snoozefest where Buu just mops the floor with the enemy. Toyotaro even bumped up "Buu's" intelligence by having former GSK take control of Buu's body (Buu's body and both their powers, but with GSK's much higher intelligence) and Moro still was a challenge and not easily defeated by Grand_Supreme_Kai-Buu and actually Moro ended up defeating Goku, Vegeta, and GSK-Buu all at the same time with his super OP magic. Good job Toyotaro with handling Buu correctly instead of continuing to use the Deus-Ex-Machina of him falling asleep every time he's needed and staying asleep until he's no longer needed OR even longer than that.

Cell inherited his powers mostly from saiyans, yes. his zenkais and such allowed him to power up from 1 brush with death to equal a ssj2 or rival him at least. Then theres buu who absorbed some saiyans and a namek, and boosted his power to the point over 60% of his power was from a saiyans power. and even then another saiyan comes along and smashes his face in, ala super vegetto. And the other characters mentioned were flash in the pan characters of importance, meaning they were 1 and done and then were nothing. manga hit was nothing to ssjb goku, and ssbe vegeta eventually beat toppo, and golden freeza in his debut fizzled out to ssjb goku whos form also had stamina issues, though you wouldn't know that until the TOP. and freeza loses big time to a kaioken buffed goku as they were insinuated to be equals before the TOP. ssjbe vegeta would likely surpass freeza as well, though slightly I guess. The writing staff put ssjbe vegeta on par with kaioken blue goku, probably just regular kaioken, but I don't really care which level. But freezas golden form is nothing compared to another saiyan in the likes of dbs brolly, as he got pounded pretty fierce there. Pretty much saiyans are OP. I'm not going to count ultra instinct either as that is a thing any race can get, but goku did get it temporarily, and batted jiren around for a while. Moro got strong from absorbing the saiyans ki, but he did have some cool magic powers as well. So far I'm a little skeptical of why he wished the prisoners free, when he could have wished for immortality or tried to do it and settled for the prisoners as a silver medal if that wasn't possible. Merged zamasu had of course saiyan god power as well. All in all, theres a lot of enemies who have access to saiyan power, even if they aren't saiyans themselves, and it was hidden in subtle ways over the course of the series, so I hope theres a villain besides freeza and beerus who don't use any saiyan power in their over all strength.

Yeah, but I was pointing out to Axalon that in Super there are plenty of non-Saiyan characters who aren't a joke. I wasn't discussing whether or not these characters eventually got surpassed by Saiyans. Even though certain characters may have been surpassed by other characters, that doesn't mean those characters are a joke. A joke in this sense would mean the character is so weak in comparison to the Saiyan characters that it's funny or for me more like a crying shame that once awesome and well beloved characters are so weak compared to the Saiyans that they can't really be relevant unless you write circumstances in such a way to shoehorn in their relevancy in a more clunky fashion.

I get what you are saying. But I'm more or less addressing perhaps something you didn't even address and was just kinda shit posting, though not really. I would like to see cell show up in dbs canon, if in a game at least. I'd like to see what he thinks of freezas power and how weak he was in retrospect and how he'd tap into 4 months of training for himself.

Ewwww... Cell doing the 4 months training thing to catch-up is not how I'd like to see it done. I'd like to see his own unique way of obtaining a massive amount of power that takes advantage of the mixed DNA of the multiple species that make up his DNA. Something like this:
Spamming Cell Jrs to fuse with via Namekian Fusion since he should be able to do such a kinda fusion with those of his own species. You might say he's unique as his own species, but the Cell Jrs seem to be kid versions of him, so I'd say they are his own species. Therefore I'd like to see him take advantage of the exponential power leaps accomplished with Namekian Fusion. He could create 1 or more Jrs, fuse with it/them to gain a huge amount of power, rinse, and repeat as many times as needed (probably less than 10x due to how each Fusion would make him stronger meaning he could make stronger Cell Jrs and therefore each time his exponential increases would be bigger than the last) until he caught up to the PLs our heroes have OR even much higher than them possibly. Now during this process I think it'd be cool if he gained so much power that he becomes Golden Cell permanently (not a transformation, but instead a new form that is just a slight change in appearance similar to how a transformation can do such a thing). I'd want this transformation to be as a result of both his Saiyan DNA and Frost Demon DNA, so it'd have the Golden coloration of the Golden Frost Demon transformation and the God Ki of an SSJG transformation, but because Cell has a history of gaining new forms, it would be a new form that is permanent unlike SSJG/B/Bluer and Golden Frost Demon transformations.
I think it could even be more awesome if at some during the fight he fights against MUI Goku (who has either finally figured out how to use it at will OR just accidentally unlocked it) and then Cell remembers how after exploding he can learn the techniques of those he was recently in contact with (I'm gonna go on a limb and say that he somehow gained Instant Transmission cuz Goku had made contact with him recently and therefore he somehow gained a new sample of Goku's DNA that he updated the Goku in him with when he recreated himself after the explosion). He then explodes and reforms gaining access to Ultra Instinct as well (either at will if that's how Goku used it in the fight OR by accidentally using it if that's how Goku used it against Cell).
Now after Cell's defeat, I'd like to see him end up being yet another villain that eventually joins the good guys cuz I think Cell might be interested in having multiple fights against the Z-Fighters in the future whenever he wanted to do it and by joining them he could have sparring bouts with them almost any time he wanted. Honestly I think after being defeated twice, he'd have no desire to destroy worlds or conquer planets cuz his Saiyan DNA seems to be the dominant one when it comes to affecting his personality and Saiyans enjoy a good fight, so if becoming good could mean that he'd get to enjoy many good fights down the line then it'd make sense for him to do so for that reason.

your ideas are WAY too good for super. Thats why it won't happen. He'll just be wished back and he'll return as a single nucleus, like how freeza was chopped up. He'll regenerate and get a zenkai and be ssjb level. The end.

I think it depends on who comes up with the idea. If they started pre-production as long ago as last October like has been all but confirmed by Geekdom101 then it's very likely they could've spent plenty of time with storyboarding and coming up with well fleshed out ideas that would result in better stories and plotlines then it's likely they might have come up with ideas comparable to how good my idea is for a Divine Cell as that is what I'd call Cell's new form cuz to me it's better than Golden Cell since it has the appearance of Golden Cell, which gives readers/viewers understanding that it's based off Golden Frieza, AND it has Divine in the name, which gives readers/viewers an understanding that it has God Ki like SSJG & SSJB/Bluer, so readers would understand that it's based off both Golden Frieza and SSJG/B/Bluer. And the final cherry on top is that the unique way of obtaining the form and the fact that Cell gains new forms that are permanent would have the form be a permanent new form that mixes Perfect Cell, Golden Frieza, and SSJG/B/Bluer all into one form that is permanent.
I think the reason that the anime had some not well thought ideas/poorly implemented ones, had some parts that had terrible animation, and the story seemed rushed in certain areas was a result of them starting the anime too shortly after the manga started and therefore they didn't give themselves enough time before starting new arcs/stories to come up with really well fleshed out ideas. Seeing as Super 2 started pre-production around a year ago and only Toeiyama knows how long they storyboarded before starting actual production of Super 2, they very well may have fleshed out the whole story for like 2 or 3 arcs prior to starting to animate the first arc of Super 2. If they put that kinda time in effort to making Super 2 better than Super, then it's very much possible that ideas like my Divine Cell idea could be in Super 2.
I think Super was a bit of a failure in them testing out the formula of the mangaka being a part of the production team and coming up with ideas that weren't previously drawn in manga form well before the anime was produced AND as a result of that being a new way of doing things for them, they failed horribly. Now that they've realized that doing it that way needs time to make a better story, I have high hopes that the stories and plotlines will be quite a bit better than Super if not far better than Super's stories and plotlines due to having plenty of sufficient time to come up with ideas during pre-production instead of coming up with ideas while also producing an arc for the current story.

Yeah I agree that a good/great execution could happen and that it's not guaranteed to be a good/great execution and that if they were to do something like bring Cell back that they could very well just do the stupid 4 months of training again to have him catch up like Frieza did, but at least Perfect Cell would be a little more believable for 4 months catch up since he was much stronger than Frieza. Well if they ever decide to bring Cell back, I guess we'll see how it happens. If they don't and they come up with new villains and/or use some video game exlusive villains or introduce reworked Heroes villains or re-envisioned popular Z non-canon movie/specials villains then hopefully they at least execute it better like how well they executed DBS Broly.

Brolly was well written but I still don't care for how strong he got. In dbs however, he is a kale rip off despite kale being a brolly rip off. Ironic in a way. His canon debut is after his rip off counter part. But I digress, the lssj has a cheat code built into his dna I guess. What if cell absorbs his lssj blood and ascends to a new form that looks like his old one but gets rid of the spots? Then he's easier to draw, which is why he isn't in dbs aside from some cameos.

Eh, I don't think I'd want him to have Broly's DNA incorporated into his because while that could work as a way to up his power to new heights and work to allow him to catch up, I'd rather it be him using an existing ability that we know he should have that he just never used back in Z. We know he's supposed to have all the abilities of those that make up his DNA. To be honest King Piccolo's DNA and the fact that King Piccolo is Demon Clan actually explains the Cell Jrs. The fact that they aren't mutated version of Cell, but instead just mini Perfect Cells that are blue could just be chalked up to Toriyama wanting the Cell Jrs to look like Cell, but just smaller. It's also possible that his Perfect form or another DNA sample in him prevented them from looking vastly different from Cell in the manner that King Piccolo's "demons" (mutated Namekian offspring) don't look like King Piccolo who is a Namekian and instead look like monsters/demon creatures. Of course more simplistically and likely more in Toriyama fashion, the mutation part could just be show in the way that they are much smaller than Cell and that Cell chose all of his "demons" to look the same instead of having unique appearances from each other.
BACK TO DNA ABSORPTION, now I'd actually be okay with Cell having an ability to add new DNA to his own as I speculate that the way he got the Instant Transmission after reforming was because Goku had recently been in contact with Cell and therefore Cell had replaced/updated his Goku DNA sample with a newer recently attained sample. I like this explanation since it works with the Cell having techniques/abilities of the DNA samples he has as long as the technique had already been learned by the individual when the sample was collected. Also if he can replace/update DNA samples that he currently has during the process of reforming after an explosion, it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to say that he should be able to do that with new samples that he obtains even if he doesn't have a previous sample from that individual. Also it add more uniqueness to Cell and new abilities that don't have to be explained as not making sense because Toeiyama/Toyotaro could just explain he already used that ability to gain the Instant Transmission. Sure technically it's a retcon, but it's an additive retcon that expands upon his powerset and also explains something he did back in Z that we didn't have an explanation for but accepted without issue because it wasn't an outrageous plot device or anything like that. Now one could say that he just copied Goku's Instant Transmission, but they'd be wrong because Cell explains it as he somehow knew the technique after he reformed and not that he'd witnessed the technique and learned it through seeing it. Anyways no other character has shown that they can use the Instant Transmission because they've seen Goku do it and because just about any Ki user can copy Ki techniques by witnessing them, so to me it seems like Instant Transmission is a technique too complicated to copy just from having witnessed someone else using it unlike Ki blasts that the user already knows and is just copying a specific Ki blast/wave technique.

It doesn't have to be brolly "per say" but absorbing new dna samples and taking on those properties could be a thing that a dbs cell could do. And if his spots are too much to draw, he could just evolve further to "beyond perfection" which would be a nod to his zenkai he got in dbz where he even said as much he didn't think he could improve any further, and was a wake up call that he could still do better, and was ever further awoken by his defeat by ssj2 gohan.

Most defintely though they could even get rid of the spots by having him become Divine Cell (my preference over calling it Golden Cell). I actually think that the fanart transformation looks better without the spots as I've seen it drawn with the spots and without them.

I made a cell like that on xenoverse 2 by changing the coloring on my cell mentor,

Maybe nothing major happened, but I think plenty did happen that was more minor and just build up for what's to come. We got to see that Copy Ability Android using his powers twice (once against some rando aliens to introduce the power and a second time to show it's fullest capabilities when he copied Piccolos powers and abilities) and we got to see a short glimpse of both Goku's training against Merus and Vegeta's training on Yardrat.
Goku has gotta fight Merus to the death to gain access to Ultra Instinct, which very well might mean that Merus is as strong as SSJB Goku with his strongest multiplier of Kaioken and if that's the case, it's kinda a shame that Merus wasn't on the U7 Team for the ToP. As for Vegeta, he straight up looks silly as fuck wearing that Yardrat outfit. Sure Goku looked a little weird in the outfit, but Vegeta looks way more than a little weird in the outfit.
I gotta say I'm liking the Copy Ability Android Seven-Three as he's called for short. Infinite Stamina like C17 & C18 and the power to copy for 30 minutes the power, abilities, and PL of anyone he grabs by the throat and he doesn't have to wait 30 minutes to change Copy targets cuz he just needs to grab someone else by the throat and he loses the previous abilities and 30 minutes with the new Copied target starts. I do wonder though if he has a cool down time after the 30 minutes runs out OR if he can just keep grabbing new throats or even grab the same person's throat again to copy the abilities for 30 minutes again.

Those who don't want this manga arc to be covered in anime, I just don't understand them. This arc is the best DBS manga arc so far. If Toyotaro won't break everything towards ending it would be one of better arcs in DB franchise.

So DBS Ch54 is out now. The fight with Gohan vs Seven-Three was good. I like how Toyotaro has decided to give Seven-Three the ability to save backups of powers to switch into; I had been hoping he'd have something like that up his sleeve as a trump card and oh boy seeing him switch into Moro's powers was a real treat. He may actually be an Angel-in-hiding, which means he's above GoD-tier if true. Of course, if he is an Angel hiding for whatever reason then it at least gives an out to why he hasn't killed Frieza. So a couple revelations at the end of the new chapter have pretty much confirmed that Merus is indeed an Angel. If I'd have to guess, I'd say that Merus is one of the Angels of U13-18 OR he's an Angel-in-training for a new Universe that maybe Zen-Oh will create down the line. As for those revelations, I compiled them down below and because I felt like doing it, I edited them to where they are read from Left to Right instead of Right to Left like in manga.

I think merus is an angel from a destroyed universe. but are there angel apprentices? not a bad idea. 7-3 using moros powers was a surprise. I didn't think moro would be up for that. I wonder if this arc is setting us up for a red herring villain twist, in that moro will be killed in swift unceremonious fashion, and wiss will be the true antagonist of this arc. or the dai shinkan. The difference between gero and the twins with 16, leading to cell was that that twist was unplanned, where as this would "seemingly" be planned out ahead of time. I could see moro fighting merus and company to a stale mate, with wiss crushing his head and merus being ko'd by the dai shinkan. Goku questions why wiss would do that to such a good guy, and wiss suggests he worry not about the why or how or whatever. Moro being killed by the dai shinkan could be because moro got over confident and tried to kill him, and thats why he was stamped out, citing that angels must be neutral, but that neutrality does not mean I can't defend myself, and warns goku not to intervene with their capture of merus. Shennanigans play out and UI goku returns.
