Dragon Ball Super General (WARNING: Massive spoilers inside)

I’m with Genghis on this one. I think the gods should at least have a present theme. I get it’s sort of implying that anyone can become the next god if they’re strong enough (like Whis offering the role to Goku). But I’d like a consistent aesthetic to them. The Egyptian gods are creative because of the diversity behind lore of characters like Ra and Geb etc.

Such a wasted opportunity on AT part. The new dude looks very meh. I really don’t like the simple designs DBS has. There was some charm and mystique when used in DBZ with Freza’s transformations. Just feels lazy in DBS, and the dwarf dude is out of place.
Always knew Torbjorn was powerful but…Damn

Maybe he just got separated from the Grey Wardens and thought that DBS Shenron was the ArchDemon? Now he’s too far deep into it and he can’t back out.

I think it’s safe to say that this series is a flop. I mean we’re like 70+ episodes in and people are still saying “Maybe this will be the good arc!” Just doesn’t fly anymore. Black arc was last arc I was willing to give a chance.

God, I hope not. I’m so sick of the food card being played in DBS. It was funny once or twice but it’s so over saturated now with how much they rinse that joke now. I just want one of the gods to be vegan or some shit just to give U7 a disgusted look and slap that shit out his face.

Should do it dude. Sounds interesting and much better than most generic tournament setups. You find a setting to support those rules, you’ll be golden.

Well, yeah. They need to create the illusion that Goku and Vegeta still have limits to climb. It’s just that feels shallow when every time they achieve something, Beerus goes “Nah, still stronger!” Feels forced af

Agreed. He used it on a SSJ2 level enemy and a gag character. It’s hardly this ONE PAWCH that everyone keeps hyping it up to be.

I dunno if it was a generic ki blast or not, but I agree with the second part. Whis most likely meant anything below Beerus just gets HAKAI'd from the technique.

I certainly couldn't imagine Whis or Zen-Oh getting HAKAI'd by Beerus.

This arc is going suck isn't it? Joker and Harley gods just sort of killed it for me. God it's going to suck really bad isn't it?

That U10 pink elephant GoD looks exactly like the sort of incompetent nincompoop that would allow himself to get killed multiple times by Zamasu and STILL not ask Gowasu what was going on. His angel attendant looks like a fusion of Whis and Pan, which I have to admit is kind of adorable.

Do you ever get the feeling that...y'know...Super is being made up by a bunch of fans? Fans who've suddenly found themselves in a position of authority and have gone mad with power? I mean, I'm pretty darn certain Toriyama wouldn't come up with a killer clown GoD. At least, not the Toriyama who made Dragon Ball from 1984-1994. And he'd darn well never make a female Broly. 

Again: female Broly. Why? Why? There are some character designs that look okay-ish when genderswapped, and Broly is not one of them. Keeping the ridiculous muscle mass and slapping on some lipstick and, uh, other parts is neither attractive or menacing, just weird. This is somebody's fanfic somehow sneaking its way into production, not genuine inspiration.

The female GoD, her attendant, and the Kaioshin look the most promising of the bunch, though that's not really saying much.

Of course, even wacky character designs can be overlooked if the character itself is good, but I highly doubt any of these people will get any sort of meaningful characterization or worthwhile scenes/fights. Unless Super totally surprises us with its next arc, which isn't looking likely, I think it's safe to say Super will become a fan joke just like GT has.

Which is sad. You only get one shot to see certain arcs in animated form. The Shadow Dragons were a great concept and GT botched them. A multiverse tournament with watching gods is a great idea and Super will likely botch it.

Okay, I NEED to watch this arc. Looks like Champa decided to up his game and find his own LSSJ.

Yeah, she could be cannon fodder, but I hope she isn't. There's a critical lack of female fighters in Dragonball as a whole. I'm sure they'll pull something out of their butts to make her have a strong showing, at least for a while.
