Wow. First they forget the senzu beans. Now they forget the goddammned Mafuba seal.
Plus Trunks just instantly masters the Mafuba in a live combat situation (Piccolo is the best teacher ever, if only Goku had listened to him) after somehow getting angry enough to where he surpassed SSB...somehow.
If TeamFourStar ever gets around to doing DBS this is going to be golden.

I don't think he's neccesarily surpassed SSB but he is near that level. It would be nice if they explained his form and wtf Black did with his scythe. Also White (shorter than calling him Merged Zamasu) stated that he is still immortal but I guess we're gonna find out.

Episode 64 1. Wait Zamasu and Black weren't angry before? Say what? 2. So Black decided to stab himself... then forged a scythe. So he's pulling weapons out of his own body... sounds familiar. 3. Black's energy rip. "Even I don't know." That basically sums up every DBZ villain who's testing their power and doesn't give af to the effects of their moves. I applaud thee. 4. We got ghost Goku Black's... sounds like the Hatchiyack. DBM has their match Gast vs Raichi. Coincidence? I think not!!! 5. Trunk's Mafuba... wait a minute... that must mean... in DBM: FUTURE TRUNKS IS GINYU!!! Jk, it was hilarious how he posed like Ginyu and didn't even think they were funny poses XD Mai:None of these poses are doing anything. Me: Keep telling yourself that Mai 6. What the hell or who the hell did Piccolo use the Mafuba on? Krillin? 7. Bulma just downgraded the respect of Roshi on the Mafuba to the point it was a silly Ginyu pose... Bulma what's wrong with you!? You just took one of the most intense moments in DB and made it a joke. 8. Bulma's flirting... if it failed this much on Zamasu, a Kaioshin, imagine what would've happened back in BoG on Beerus, a Hakaishin (sorry if I spelled it wrong.) 9. So Zamasu did a deja vu with Bulma's mother. without the blast... nice. 10. Trunks' mafuba... Fucking epic, even better with the speech and Desperate Assault sound track... Crowning moment for this viewer. 11. Fucking damnit Goku, just why!?!?!? WHY DID YOU FORGET THE FUCKING PAPER SEAL!? THERE GOES AN EPIC ENDING WITH A MAFUBA 12. Zamasu's fusion... yeah we saw this coming. Looks like he retained his mind just like his individual self... erm... which Zamasu's mind is the dominant one or does it not really matter at this point? Lol.

I'll do a summary in this comment. Please wait. Lol NO UR TOO SLOW! In short Trunks masters the Mafuba, Bulma fakes that she died so Trunks goes into hyper focus mode and traps Zamasu into the jar but they forgot the seal tag. Black uses his anger like Vegeta does to create an energy scythe that opens a rift looking thing that creates multiple clones of Black that reappear once destroyed. Then at the end Zamasu escapes the Mafuba jar and fuses with Black. Bam TL;DR. Couldn't resist

Edit: I focus on smaller stuff like Trunk's poses and... wait for it... THE RETURN OF RAICHI'S GHOST WARRIORS: THE SAIYAN GOKU BLACK!!! Edit Edit: And stuff like Bulma's flirting and Trunk's "ptsd" with his mother being held by the collar/neck

- Vegeta maintains the awesome train for a bit this episode. - Zamasu tries to monologue and gets punched right on the face, 10/10 for that scene. - Black stabs himself in the hand, pulls out a scythe and a new power that even he shrugs off as "shit man, I dunno", Diabolus Ex Machina much? - Again, Black's new power, we have no context for it, and the only function it seem to serve is to make Black a threat again after Vegeta dominated him. - Bulma's Mabufa tutorial video was kind of amusing. - Holy shit, what's the resolution on Bulma's camera? she got a crystal-clear close up of Piccolo's eye from quite a bit away. - Zamasu gets pissed that Bulma implied he would cheat on his boyfriend, Black. - <insert Undertale "DETERMINATION" joke about Trunks here> - The seal is needed? I mean, I don't remember it being used to seal the lid before, I believe when Roshi tried to seal Piccolo, it was just on the side of the rice cooker, so why wasn't it glued there before Goku even left Kame's house? - And finally, the Potara fusion we were all waiting. For the preview, that white halo behind fusion Zamasu... are we in for some classic Japanese Christian/Catholic symbolism? because I hope we are in for some classic Japanese Christian/Catholic symbolism?

Also it irks me that Trunks learns the Mafuba in such a short time just because of "muh mom died" and a video on Bulma's iPhone 23.

O-kay... -- Does anybody remember this scene, where Goku and Vegeta were about to fuse and Super Buu, maybe a half mile away tops, was flying towards them for 50 seconds and still didn't reach them? Well, we've got a new record! It takes Zamasu about five minutes (Frieza would be proud) to travel one block to where Bulma and Trunks are hiding. -- Zamasu's voice actor certainly has been paid a lot to give really wimpy screams: first when Beerus killed him, and then when he's getting sealed by the Mafuba. -- I had to laugh at the comments for Episode 63, the last episode. A lot of stuff like "Vegeta finally gets to win!" or "Please, let Vegeta get this victory!" and I just laughed to myself. Obviously they're not going to have Vegeta win, you sillies. -- Why is Vegeta slouching in this episode? -- Goku's stupidity in Super is really starting to annoy me. I mean, I already knew the Mafuba wasn't going to work, but they decided to have it not work because Goku is an idiot. Sigh. -- Hey, guess what? We've got another item to add to the list of "Things Black does that U16 Bra already did." This already included "Having Instant Transmission and never really having it explained why," "using an around-the-hand energy blade to chop a disc-like energy attack into pieces," and "Having a scythe-like energy attack," but as of this episode we've got a fourth: "Inexplicably having multiple copies of yourself made of energy/plot and use them to trap your enemy in one place." Now we just need him to chow down some senzu beans...(More on this in a sec.) -- This episode seemed lower quality than the others before it: the Black-clones looked a little off, and a good amount of the episode was either recycled animation or awkward pauses. I bet they're saving their budget for the Fused Zamasu episodes. -- It's interesting that Fused Zamasu thinks of himself as Zamasu. It goes to show that Black never really thought of himself as Black. -- It'll also be interesting to see if Toriyama remembers a rule he made about Potara fusion: the Old Kai told Goku that he and Vegeta should fuse in their base form, or else they wouldn't be able to power down once fused and would burn themselves out. Black fused when he was a Super Saiyan. Possible weakness? So, thought: People get mad at Bra for having several unexplained/overpowered abilities, but it's really not that bad. Salagir tries to find something in canon that establishes a precedent, and he works for internal consistency, so whenever he does something unexpected I have confidence that he at least has an explanation for what's going on. With Black, though? I don't think Toriyama or anyone in Toei really knows what's happening. It's all basically Rule of Cool at this point. ("So...he stabs himself. And then he gets a scythe. And it tears open the sky. And it cancels ki sensing. And then he can make smoke clones out of it. And he's stronger somehow.) Just like U16 Bra helps me appreciate U18, Black and Zamasu help me appreciate U16 Bra. For the preview, that white halo behind fusion Zamasu... are we in for some classic Japanese Christian/Catholic symbolism? because I hope we are in for some classic Japanese Christian/Catholic symbolism? Gotta love that classic Japanese Christian/Catholic symbolism. It's everywhere in anime. Makes me wonder if it's like a cultural fetish or something.

I think that given that Black is basically a God of Creation put into a Saiyan's body, that really its not unreasonable that they came up with that on their own. Especially with the imaginery of Black being a dark doombringer of destruction, not unlike the Horsemen of Death, or the Grim Reaper.
I think its a coincidence at best, and unrelated in totality.

So... we got a fusion of an immortal, and a Saiyan... How do Zenkais work if you're immortal? You can't be near death if immortality negates it. Thoughts?
Edit: Have an analogy gamers would understand.
Would Fusion Zamasu have Zenkai-immortality ability like constant Max HP and unable to decrease Hp OR Hp can reduce to 1 but can't go lower than that and has the ability of instant health regeneration back to max?

And he'd gain strength just from fighting anyway. Just not as much as if he was a living Zenkai.

Loved the newest episode, kinda starting to hate Goku's stupidity now...
Vegeta was awesome, I feel bad for Trunks but loved that he actually pulled off the mafuba.
A lot of gags that didn't need to in the episode.
Also: with two Supreme Kais there I think they're setting up for a fusion vs fusion battle because the Kais have their potoras!
And that fusion... Forgot they slam their crotches together but never saw a potora fusion spin.
