I do enjoy the banter between Granolah and Vegeta here. Vegeta makes his case for his innocence, Granolah disregards it and both press on matter of factly. It's also nice to see a case where experience is nearly as much of a factor as strength in an exchange and using Granolah's hatred to make him carless is a neat touch.
Not sure how I feel on the eyebrow-less form, but want to see it in action first before I pass judgement.

Salagir's gonna be sitting in his office, reading this chapter and facepalming so hard when seeing the DBS used the design for Vegeta that he had in mind for 12 years now.

Given the amount of freak out the leaks for this chapter caused, and actually reading it, yeah people should never rush to conclusions till the official release.

Given the amount of freak out the leaks for this chapter caused, and actually reading it, yeah people should never rush to conclusions till the official release. Which is why I never pay attention and skip past anything I see on YouTube talking about the latest chapter. I’m not surprised at what happened in this one. At this point I just wait for every chapter, shrug my shoulders, and move on until next month.

At this point, if you really believe Vegeta's going to pull off a W against a main villain, it's your own fault for getting disappointed.
That said, this form is very fitting for Vegeta. Let loose with the battle lust, revel in it, that's the way Vegeta's been.

It's funny how the spectators think Granolah is fighting Freeza, as if he hadn't been getting powercrept to hell and back since his reintroduction.
What more can I say, I'm really not invested in this arc. Characters are fine, I guess, but I'm tired of Goku and Vegeta and Universe 7. Like come on, we have 11 other universes with some lore and characters already been established, why can't we have a new arc exploring *those* instead? Frieza is running around unrestrained in the univer. What is he doing? Surely he must realize that everyone he knows except himself has grown much stronger, and that he's not just sittig around while that happens, right?
Even if we look at this arc for what it is... it just isn't good. The plot relies on a TON of conveniences to work: Granolah just happens to have a Dragon Clan Namekian living in his house... the second Dragon Ball is just conveniently found a few hours after it was brought up... smol Shenron just happens to have a way to power up Granolah dramatically due to a quirk of his race... and said race just happens to have been anhilated by Frieza and the saiyans..." Let's not even start with BS that is Granolah being stronger than MUI after a simple wish, i could rant all day about that.
All that aside this chapter's fight was great. My one gripe is that Vegeta's ability to get stronger as he takes damage isn't portrayed very well. It is explicitly mentioned many times, but the growth in power just isn't shown. It doesn't feel like he is any faster, or like his attacks have any more power to them even when he is at the verge of fainting. Looking at this fight without context you'd just think he's gone insane and is tanking hits just to brag.
Though the arc is pretty predictable now: Heeters will pick up the dragon balls... find a way to use them... make Gas stronger than Granolah... Granolah teams up with the saiyans after realizing they are not the enemy... they eventually win... and Frieza/Oatmeal tie in somewhere in all of this, then Granolah pulls a Merus and either dies or loses his power. Let's just hope I'm wrong.

I mean most of the people who are stronger than Frieza currently (Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Jiren, Toppo (If you want to count him pretty sure Manga Frieza would beat Toppo)) have either largely been stuck on Earth, on some isolated uninhabited world or in another universe. So to the majority of Universe 7 as Frieza builds back up his empire he'd seem like the supreme power. Hell the other Z villains who eclipsed Frieza (Androids, Cell, Buu etc.) are also largely Earth only threats so most of the Universe would unironically not know them minus maybe Buu.

I was just joking about the powercreep in the series, really. While you are right that Golden Frieza IS ridiculously strong compared to anyone else in the universe, he's no threat to any of the three currently fighting here. This makes me wonder, do the Heeters and Granolah know about Golden Frieza? I can't remember if they every made mention of his new form.

To be fair we have no idea the exact gap Frieza is from those 3. In the Super Broly film, Frieza was able to endure an hour long beating from Broly and remain in Golden, where as a post ToP Blue Goku & Vegeta were overwhelmed and made to retreat in minutes. So it is implied Frieza got stronger since, if this is true in the manga I am not sure but we'll have to wait and see if or when Frieza gets involved to compare.

You are bringing up a scene that was half played for laughs from a movie made for fun that didn't put much thought into power scaling or a good plot. Can't really take it as evidence that Frieza got significantly stronger.

I'd say it counts. freeza has been shown to be more durable than he was. his golden form drained his ki before, and now it doesn't. and if freeza stalled and fought defensively he could have dodged until the end. it's not like he's gohan.

This is the same guy who survived a planet blowing up on him while he was cut in half.

Pretty good chapter all around, essentially Vegeta was gonna force Granolah into a draw which is better than I expected.

I don't know whether to like this chapter or dislike it... On one hand, Vegeta got two Ls, that put a smile on my face. 🙂 BUT then! Toriyama made this thing that piss me off about "not all Saiyans are evil" & chose Bardock of all people to be some kind of hero. 🙄

I mean his race by default is more durable. Any saiyan would bled out by being bisected no matter if SSJBlue or higher. Freeza could survive that on top of a planet explosion just fine in his 4th form in z.

The Bardock thing is just tying into the new canon of Saiyans as of Minus/DBS: Broly, where some of them were not evil (Broly, Gine, Tarble etc.) and Bardock being a more "noble" fighter.
