God ki by itself doesn't mean much. You need to have a good amount of god ki, just like any other kind of ki
Kibito and Shin also have god ki and it literally means zilch.

So I binged and read all the Dragon Ball Super Manga a couple days ago... it was actually pretty good! The sensibilities were actually much closer to DBM/the Original Manga then the Anime! Things make a lot more sense! Particularly say the Trunks Dabura Fight, it actually made more sense and was cooler then the pretty crappy Majin Buu Arc for the Mirai Universe in Multiverse!
So while I didn't keep up with the Super Manga, I am rather impressed by the Manga! The Anime is kind of hokey like the DBZ Anime, but yeah the Manga was pretty solid.

Same opinion as mine. The anime is anime after all, it's supposed to be superior to the manga, but the manga so far has been much more consistent.Let's just hope things stay that way.

Next chapter's out. Well, I guess Mafuba still stays. This makes me less confident that Vegito and the Potara retcon will be an anime-only thing. Still, the manga continues to be better. Toyotaro seems to have a much better memory of the original series than Toei does; so far the canon has been preserved fairly well. Zenkai is more reasonable because it's not Black inexplicably getting stronger, it's Zamasu healing him to abuse the ability. Black and Zamasu are a lot better here, too. Unlike the anime versions, who were happy just killing everyone in Future Trunks' timeline and chilling out, I like how Zamasu was using Time Rings to explore every parallel universe because they want to kill EVERYBODY. Makes them a lot more threatening. Let's see if Toyotaro sticks the landing on the Fused Zamasu parts.

EldagustoI hope you don't mind but I merged your DBS manga thread with this one. It helps to keep the forum organized if we check to see whether there's already a thread for that specific topic before making a new one. AshanarkI prefer the manga version so far. Goku is less of an idiot since the Senzu beans were destroyed instead of him forgetting them. He's also the one to come up with the Mafuba! I hope it fails or whoever performs it misses rather than him forgetting the seal. It looks like Trunks's Super Rage form was anime-only and here he only distracted Black and Zamasu with a Solar Flare. I'm still hoping the ending is better than the anime's. The power scaling isn't as bad as the anime's it's still confusing as hell. Last chapter, SSJ1 (or 2) Vegeta was beating up Black and, after one Zenkai, SSJ Black is able to defeat SSJB Vegeta! He powered-up beyond all of Vegeta's forms in one Zenkai! Imagine Goten or Trunks getting a Zenkai during the Buu saga that skyrockets their power to SSJ3 or SSJ1 Vegetto tier.

I actually like that kind of explanation. So Black going through all this and letting Trunks live was no incapability but solid reasoning. As for the amount of strength gained by the zenkai: One could interpret it also in another way. It is not only the zenkai that makes Black stronger. He said that everytime his damaged body gets healed, his cells do synchronize more with his mind. So maybe it is the regeneration that unlocks Goku's true power and the zenkai is only an additional boost. But that's, of course, only my personal theory.

Which Dragon Balls did Zamasu use to become Immortal? The Super Balls?

It also explains why Goku and Vegeta stopped getting zenkai (making the theory that stopped getting them canon), while Black can still get them despite being in Goku's body. It looks like Mafuba really was Toriyama's idea. Brace yourself for fusion retcon is probably going to happen here to.

Toriyama probably got pelted with so many fan responses for him not using the Mafuba in the Buu arc that he felt the urge to show people he didn't forget about the technique that he totally forgot about!

Well I am glad that my theory that Super Saiyan rose is simply a malevolent form of Blue thanks to Zamasu's soul / ki in the mix of Goku's body. That makes me happy.
For some reason I am okay with Black zenkai's abilities unlike his anime adaptation. While still OP, at least he doesn't become a true powerhouse to the point he literally curbstomps everyone in two seconds flat. Granted my dog Vegeta still lost, but at least he put up some fight before throwing in the towel.
And Future Trunks knowing the Taiyoken (Solar Flare). Never saw that coming. Since he learned it from Future Gohan, I wonder how he learned it in the first place now?
And SSJ2 Future Trunks stabbing Zamasu through the back was simply badass of the highest degree. Cannot wait for next chapter to see him fighting against Black and Zamasu by himself, and hopefully attaining Super Saiyan Rage with an ACTUAL explanation to it.

He wanted to switch bodies with Goku after witnessing his power in SSJB. He's more trying to regain the power that Goku already had access to when they switch bodies rather than just getting new power-ups from scratch.

Wow. Goku said "I'm really really sorry". This is what I mean when some 'tards on youtube say dumb stuff like "Man but Goku was always careless and dumb!". This proves it wrong. This reminds me of DBZ Goku than the one from DBSuper. Good job on Toyotaro!
Also, Gowasu did something bad-ass this time (saving Trunks)! Wtf! Why didn't they do this in the anime instead of giving shitty forms to Trunks?
Edit: The dialogue between Gowasu/Shin/Zamasu/Black was awesome! Far more than any lines in the anime. Damn, why didn't they include any of this?

Holy crap, Gowasu gets +1000 bad*ss points for saving Trunks like the stone-cold mofo he is. Best Kai of the series.
I prefer the manga version of all the characters. Supreme Kai is more decisive and brave, and aware of when earthlings are getting killed. Goku is kinder and smarter. Vegeta is less Cell saga-y (and doesn't blow up the HTC like an idiot.) Trunks is a lot less whiny. Future Zamasu is less of an insufferable prat. Black Goku is less obsessed with himself and much more brutal.
Not to mention things are less contrived. Having Trunks sitting in the World of the Kais is a lot better than him somehow evading Black for 24 hours. And Black and Zamasu are actively trying to not attract Zeno's attention, which is a smart idea.
Best of all was the concluding conversation between Gowasu and Black. This is exactly the sort of scene I wanted to see in the anime and never got. It shows Gowasu's goodness that, even though Black has killed him in the past and killed a whole ton of people (and all the gods!), he's still willing to forgive, and he still thinks Black can be redeemed. Interestingly enough, that conversation actually does Zeno's character credit as well, since Gowasu urges Black to go talk to him to help work out this situation. This makes Gowasu the first divine figure in either the manga or anime to regard Zeno with trust instead of fear.
I wouldn't be surprised if it takes three more chapters at least to wrap this arc up. The manga itself is fast-paced but they take forever to get published.

Man, it's almost sad to know how shitty plot-wise and pace-wise (and many other things) the Anime saga was in regards to manga. Sigh... this could have been avoided if there was a manga to base the show from, like it used to be in DBZ/DB.
It's bad to see most DBsuper problems come due to lack of fore-planning and good references.
Goku even shows some intelligence in suggesting stuff with the time machine.
Also, if Gowasu dies in the future? How are they going to revive him? Maybe Goku arrives in time and gives him a senzu bean?

More to the point, if Gowasu dies in the alternate future what happens to current timeline Ramushi? Does he instantly drop dead? Is there some kind of time paradox? Does this create another alternate timeline? Would he even feel him being (presumably) mortally wounded?
Whatever. I love this alternate take on the arc. So far, so much better than how it went down in the anime. No random SSJ RAEG power-up making Trunks uber strong for no rational reason. (presumably) No spirit bomb sword pulled out of his ass (everyone's dead so nobody to give him the energy). Goku not being a blind idiot (hopefully he won't forget the damn sealing tag this time). Gowasu actually doing something other than standing around and saying "Zamasu".
